    Do you know any of these five men? Police want to speak to them following "a series of disorder incidents" at a Leeds United away fixture in October.

    Groups of rival fans clashed following the match at the iPro Stadium, in Derby, on Saturday 15 October. 

    A number of arrests were made after the match. These men are thought to be Leeds United supporters.

    If you were in Leeds city centre this lunchtime and saw a rather menacing looking pair of attack helicopters, don't worry. Everything's okay.

    The British Army Apache helicopters landed on the roof of the LGI in the middle of Leeds as part of a training exercise. 

    They only stayed for a little while and then buzzed off again...

    Fighting crime in a modern police force isn't all about balancing an ever decreasing budget or chasing ne'er-do-wells over fences.

    It seems it's also about judging Christmas card competitions:

    This is West Yorkshire Police's new(ish) Chief Constable Dee Collins who says she "worked late into the night" deciding who'd win the force's 2016 Christmas Card competition. 

    She says that they've received more than 200 entries.

    We've just had an update on Savvi the pig, who was rescued in Skelmanthorpe last night.

    Savvi fell down an embankment and ended up in a stream.

    West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have now tweeted this picture of Savvi resting after his ordeal.

    They say he's recuperating after "hogging the headlines". Their pun, not mine.

    Anyway, here's Savvi. In a bed. A human's bed. Yep...

    A Bradford man who was jailed for life for murdering a shopkeeper who he claimed had "disrespected" Islam has failed to have his minimum 27-year jail-term cut.

    Sunni Muslim, Tanveer Ahmed, 32, stabbed 40-year-old Asad Shah outside his store in Glasgow's Shawlands area on 24 March.

    He said Mr Shah, a member of the Ahmadi sect, not recognised by all Muslims, had falsely claimed to be a prophet.

    Appeal judges have now ruled Ahmed's jail-term was legally sound.

    Prisoners in Leeds Jail have been using kettles to melt plastic windows in a bid to get drugs into their cells, a committee of MPs has heard.

    The Commons Justice Committee is looking into prison reforms amid fears over staff shortages, overcrowding, increasing violence and substance abuse in jails.

    Huddersfield Town striker Rekeil Pyke (pictured left below) has joined National League side Wrexham on a month's loan.

    Pyke, 19, is a member of Huddersfield's Under-21 team and is yet to make a first team appearance for the Championship club.

  9. Charity single for Jo Cox raises money for good causespublished at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2016

    A tribute single released in memory of murdered Batley and Spen Labour MP Jo Cox has raised over £1,600.

    The Batley Community Choir has performed the track, called The Rose, and it features over 200 singers from around the town. 

    All the proceeds will go to the Jo Cox Fund, which supports three causes Mrs Cox championed: The Royal Voluntary Service, Hope Not Hate, and The White Helmets rescue volunteers.

    Do you know where this man is? 

    Jack Haynes, 21, is wanted on recall to prison. 

    He has been previously convicted for various burglary offences.

  12. Firemen called out to save pig's baconpublished at 12:04 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2016

    Looks like West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue had an interesting time last night - they were called out to a pig stuck in a stream.

    Savvi the pig, weighing in at 15st, fell down an embankment and then became stuck.

    But there was a happy ending for Savvi with fire officers saying he's now "as happy as a pig in mud today".

    Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani has confirmed his interest in buying a stake in Leeds United in an interview with a Singaporean newspaper.

    Radrizzani was reported to have entered into talks with current Leeds owner Massimo Cellino in August, and he has been pictured at a number of United games this season.

    "Massimo has 100% now, and if I do the deal I'll enter the club during this season with 50% and have the option to buy him out completely in June next summer," he told the Straits Times, external.

    Bradford City FC has reacted to the news that a plane carrying 81 people, including a top Brazilian football team, has crashed on its approach to the city of Medellin in Colombia.

    Police say five people survived the crash but the rest of those on board died.

  16. Charity money stolen in Wakefield burglarypublished at 10:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2016

    Charity money raised to help a family pay for treatment for their sick daughter has been stolen from a house in Wakefield, external.  

    The burglary happened last Monday at Barnstone Vale, Pinders Heath, in Wakefield, at about 19:15 as the owner arrived home. 

    She came home to discover two people there and another person waiting outside in a blue BMW. 

    A significant amount of Asian jewellery was also stolen during the burglary.

    The money was from a fundraising charity for continuous therapy for her daughter who has a degenerative disease.

    This was a frightening ordeal for the home owner to return home and find two people in her house who then fled with a number of sentimental items. The money stolen from the safe was raised to go towards her daughter's ongoing medical care. This is deeply upsetting for the family.

    If you've been stuck in that traffic on the M1 northbound this morning, this is the reason why.

    Three cars were involved in an accident at J40.

    The road is now down to one lane close and Highways England says there are now about three miles of queues in the area.

    The shortlist for BBC Sports Personality of the Year has been announced, and West Yorkshire's Rio champions are strongly represented.
