    Nick Wilmshurst
    BBC Local Live, Leeds

I often like to share Leeds Museums' Object of the Week, and this week's is very poignant.

They're on display at Leeds City Museum and were written by Pte Leonard Wragby, who sent them back to Leeds from France in 1917.

They give a heartbreaking insight into life in the trenches and his desire to come home to his wife Annie and their daughter Margaret.

    Quote Message

It is about time it was over, I am thinking, but never mind so long as we both pull through alright. Wishing you and our little girl a prosperous Christmas and may I be home for the next."

Extract from Pte Leonard Wragby's lettery

Sadly, Pte Wragby died just two days later at the battle of Arras on 12 December 1917.

After her husband's death, Annie never married again.

The letters were found in the back of a wardrobe in 2004.

Terry's in Huddersfield says its deep fried pigs in blankets and stuffing are also quite popular. Yum!

The BBC can reveal that the increase in demand could treble last year's security bill.

In January, an "enhanced security" package was announced for politicians after an increased number of threats.

After Jo Cox was shot and stabbed to death by Thomas Mair on 16 June more than 200 MPs applied for the "enhanced" package.

Two years ago the bill for this work was £70,000, last year that figure doubled, and the BBC understands it could now top £500,000.

The poster was put up five years ago and features Michelle Qualtrough, a cancer survivor from Surrey.

But Network Rail says the poster will stay where it is after so many messages were added.

    Quote Message

We decided we simply couldn't replace such powerful and heart-warming messages on a subject which affects so many woman, so we have kept the poster in place and have no plans to change it any time soon."

    Deborah Ward, Network Rail

Michelle, who has family in Leeds, says it's an amazing thing to have happened after a campaign which finished in 2011.

    Quote Message

I thought the poster was only going to be up for a year. I feel very privileged that people have taken the time to leave the messages on the poster. It's also such a good way of passing the message on to others."

    Michelle Qualtrough, Breast cancer survivor
