    Hundreds of parents in York are being warned about "explicit and inappropriate material" which has been sent to some schoolchildren in the city on social media.

    It's led to schools sending a letter out warning parents and carers to check their children's mobiles have the maximum security settings.

    Police say numerous incidents have been reported and are now investigating.

    The driver of this car in Leeds has been arrested after police say they injured a cyclist and didn't have insurance:

    The driver hit the cyclist and drove off, leaving the rider with injuries, according to police.

    Officers caught up with them later and then discovered they didn't have insurance.

    The driver is now due to go to court and their car has been seized, police say.

    A public consultation on changes to bin collections, external in Rotherham is coming to an end, with the last day for you to give your views being Friday.

    If plans go through, waste collection in Rotherham will look like this:

    • Week one: General waste
    • Week two: Cans and bottles
    • Week three: General waste
    • Week four: Cardboard and paper

    So, there'll be a recycling collection every two weeks - but of different items - and a charge to the collection of green waste.

    The plans have proved controversial, with Liberal Democrats in Rotherham launching a campaign to "Save the Bins".

    Unemployment in Yorkshire and the Humber region has gone up.

    Figures for September to November show a rise of 6,000 in the region.

    The total number of people out of work across Yorkshire and the Humber region is 134,000.

    Nationally, unemployment fell by 3,000 to 1.4 million.

    Figures just released also show that pay grew slightly faster in that time.

    A number of scenes in Phantom Thread, starring Daniel Day-Lewis, were filmed in the Robin Hood's Bay area.

    It's been nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor.

    The Victoria Hotel was one of the locations used in the film.

    Six hundred candles are to be set out in the form of the Star of David in York Minster later, to remember more than six million Jews murdered by the Nazis during World War Two.

    The candles will be lit during the course of the evening.

    It's part of a week-long series of events in York and across the UK to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on Saturday.

    The congregation at tonight's evensong will be invited to light candles, which will be added to the Star of David throughout the evening, until all 600 candles are lit.

    It's claimed almost half of children in parts of Bradford are growing up in poverty.

    New figures show the Bradford West and East constituencies are among the top ten worst areas for child poverty in the country. Leeds Central is not far behind.

    The research comes from the End Child Poverty Coalition.

    Gareth Thompson from the Bradford-based charity, Christians Against Poverty, says he's inundated with appeals from those needing help:
