    The woman contacted West Yorkshire Labour MP Alex Sobel, who is now expected to raise her case in Parliament.

    A homemade bomb detonated by Salman Abedi at an Ariana Grande concert on 22 May 2017, killed 22 people and injured many more.

    Stars including Dara O Briain and Timothy West have signed an open letter to the Culture Secretary urging him to award the former Bradford Odeon "significant funding".

    Bradford Council says 30 "prominent figures" in entertainment have signed the letter to Matt Hancock.

    The letter calls on him to back the former Bradford Odeon’s bid for funding and support Bradford’s creative industries.

    It has also been signed by the National Science and Media Museum, Impressions Gallery and Bradford Theatres.

    The former Odeon cinema is being rebuilt as a 4,000-capacity music and events venue in a £15m restoration project and will be run by the NEC group.

    A woman has told a court she was handcuffed and raped in the back of a van weeks before the same man attacked and killed a schoolgirl 46 years ago.

    Peter Pickering, 80, has gone on trial accused of abducting and attacking an 18-year-old woman in 1972 in Sheffield.

    Leeds Crown Court heard he has been under a hospital order since admitting the manslaughter by diminished responsibility of Shirley Boldy, 14.

    Mr Pickering, appearing via video-link, denies rape and false imprisonment.

    Hull Trains is running a reduced service between Hull and London Kings Cross, with the firm saying it's still repairing some of its trains damaged during last week's bad weather.

    Buses are available at some stations to connect passengers to other train services, according to Hull Trains.

    A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a father-of-three was fatally stabbed in the street in Sheffield last week.

    Jarvin Blake (pictured), 22, died in hospital after he was wounded in Brackley Street, Burngreave, at about 15:00 on Thursday.

    The arrested 25-year-old man, from Sheffield, has also been held on suspicion of wounding and he remains in custody.

    A 24-year-old man who was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder, wounding and perverting the course of justice, also remains in custody, police say.

    The man who was widely regarded as the voice of cricket in Yorkshire has died, it has been announced.

    Dave Callaghan, who worked for BBC Radio Leeds and BBC Look North, had suffered a heart attack on Friday.

    A statement from Yorkshire Cricket Club said he was a "much-loved personality" and "held in the highest regard by players, staff and supporters alike".

    Known as Cally to his friends, he had worked in sports journalism for more than 45 years.

    The families of two teenagers who were killed in a car crash last week have paid tribute to them.

    George Turner (pictured left), from Sowerby and Mason Pearson (pictured right) from Thirsk - both aged 17 - were killed in a crash last Wednesday between Busby Stoop and Carlton Miniott, near Thirsk.

    The family of George Turner said:“George was such a bright light, who will continue to shine.”

    Mason Pearson’s family said: “The void that has been left in our life is unbearable and beyond repair."

    Five people were in a VW Bora which collided with a Ford Focus on the A61, a the driver of the VW has been arrested and released on police bail as the investigation continues.
