About 150 chemists in North Yorkshire could close because of financial pressures, it's being warned.
The claim came from industry body Community Pharmacy North Yorkshire during a meeting of the county's health watchdog organisations.
Community Pharmacy North Yorkshire said chemists are having to pay more for medication than they get from the NHS for dispensing it
It added that more than 120 chemists could lose payments of about £27,000 to look after their premises.
The meeting heard how pharmacies in Knaresborough and Haxby, near York, have already closed and another, in Northallerton, is considering following suit.
Plans for a new railway station in South Yorkshire look set to take a step closer.
A meeting's due to be held later at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, where the new station could be located
Dan Fell, chief executive of Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, says if all goes to plan, the station could go from drawing board to reality within five years:
Police in Leeds have renewed their appeal for help after the death of a woman who was hit by a private hire car in the city.
The 20-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a silver Volkswagen Passat on Woodhouse Street, near the junction with Headingley Lane, at about 16:30 last Saturday.
She died later in hospital.
The driver stopped at the scene and has been interviewed by police.
Sgt Ann Drury: "It's thought she'd been in the vicinity of The Library public house in Woodhouse Lane shortly before the collision and we would like to speak to anyone who saw her in the area, or who saw the vehicle prior to the collision, or the circumstances of the collision itself."
Anyone with dash-cam footage of the area at around the time of the collision is also being asked to come forward.

Barnsley MP Dan Jarvis may be out of the running for Mayor of the Sheffield City Region.
The Labour Party's National Executive Committee has brought in a new rule that MPs have to stand down from Parliament if they are selected for another elected role, including mayor.
Mr Jarvis has previously stated if elected as mayor he would continue to be an MP, but the new rule means he'd have to leave the Commons to continue as Labour's Mayoral candidate.
An FA Cup winners' medal dating back more than 100 years has been stolen from a house in Rotherham.
The distinctive medal was given to Barnsley FC players after their 1-0 win in a replay against West Brom in the 1912 FA Cup final at Bramall Lane.
It was among items stolen from the house of the 82-year-old grandson of footballer Philip Wright Bratley, whose name is engraved on it.
Burglars are thought to have entered through a back door and ransacked the house, on Weetwood Road, Spinneyfield, between 08:40 on Friday and 18:15 on Saturday.
South Yorkshire Police say it was "invaluable" to the family.
A big event taking place in Bradford later is expected to show there's been a massive rise in the amount of money being created by tourism across Yorkshire.
The Yorkshire on Show event, organised by Welcome to Yorkshire, is taking place at the city's landmark Alhambra Theatre.
Visitors to the county are already said to contribute £7bn a year and Welcome to Yorkshire is expected to release its latest figures during the conference.
Conference participants will be treated to a peek at Welcome to Yorkshire's garden design for the 2018 Chelsea Flower Show and will hear news of Yorkshire's global aspirations, including taking theatre productions and music events to locations across the world.

The trains across Yorkshire appear to be running pretty smoothly so far this morning.
However, the 07:12 Sheffield-Cleethorpes service is about 10 minutes late, the 07:15 Sheffield to Leeds service has been cancelled and the 07:24 Sheffield-London St Pancras service is delayed.
Also, a broken rail at Swinton is causing disruption to journeys between Doncaster and Sheffield/Moorthorpe.

An advice project in Barnsley has helped residents claim more than £3m in benefits which would otherwise have been unclaimed.
The scheme, a joint enterprise by the Citizens Advice Bureau and an organisation called DIAL, has helped more than 2,200 residents in the town in the past three years.
Advisers say they have also helped residents with debt worth £500,000 by helping them get re-assessed, making the debt more manageable.
Rosie Adams, North Area Council manager, said: "This project continues to astound me in benefit cases, people claiming what they are entitled to, and the value of debt they have managed to get written off for clients."
A chilly start to the day across Yorkshire with some patchy fog and frost.
This will clear through the morning with hazy sunshine developing across all parts:
The number of women using donated eggs has risen sharply in the past 10 years, latest figures show.
There were 1,912 women who had IVF using a donor egg in 2006, compared to 3,924 in 2016, the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority said.
It attributed the rise to a greater awareness of donation as an option, more donors, and more same sex couples, single and older women using them.
The number of women donating their eggs is also on the increase.
Altrui, in Hawes, North Yorkshire, is the only company in the UK to recruit egg donors, although women can donate or receive eggs at a number of clinics around the country.
The agency, which charges a fee to people wanting to find a donor egg, has seen numbers on its books more than quadruple over the past five years.
In 2013 it put 30 donors into clinics across the UK, a figure which had risen to 124 in 2017.
The medal, dating back to a Barnsley v West Brom FA Cup replay in 1912, has been stolen from a house in Rotherham.

The first of thousands of trees has been planted today in Leeds in a £500,000 bid to combat flooding.
They're being planted in the upper River Aire catchment area as part of a pilot natural flood management project.
The leader of Leeds City Council, Coun Judith Blake (pictured), did the honours at Eshton Beck, Gargrave, which will have 450 trees planted eventually.
The idea is to see how natural techniques can slow the flow of water and reduce the risk of flooding downstream.
Quote MessageThese new trees are a hugely significant part of our plans to protect Leeds from future flooding like the devastation we saw on Boxing Day 2015"

UKIP has been ordered to pay £175,000 in legal costs over a defamation case brought against an East Yorkshire-based MEP.
The party was told to pay towards costs incurred by Rotherham MPs Sir Kevin Barron, Sarah Champion and John Healey, (pictured left to right).
It follows a judgement made last year, when Yorkshire and the Humber UKIP MEP Jane Collins (pictured below) was told to pay the three Labour MPs £54,000 each in damages following remarks she made about the Rotherham child abuse scandal.
The latest payment order comes just days after UKIP's leader Gerard Batten issued a plea for cash on behalf of the party.
