Armed robbers who left a jewellers empty handed in a failed raid were thwarted by a customer in the shop who "bundled" them out of the shop, police have revealed.
The three masked men went into Caine's jewellers on the High Street in Wetherby armed with a hammer and a sledge hammer just after 11:33 this morning.
But they didn't reckon on one of the customers fighting them out of the shop, the men then got into a blue Volvo V60 getaway car and drove off towards the A1.
The car was also attacked by passers by who smashed the rear window on the driver’s side.
The customer who tackled them was left with a minor head injury but didn't need to go to hospital.
Officers have now released CCTV pictures of three men caught on camera they want to speak to.

Dave Callaghan was, for many, the voice of Yorkshire cricket and he died last month.
Mr Callaghan, who was known as Cally or DC, had worked in sports journalism for more than 45 years, working as sports editor at BBC Radio Leeds and as a commentator for Leeds United.
A 22-year-old drunk driver who tried to escape police in a high speed chase has been jailed for 18 months.
Christopher Newton, of South Street in Scarborough, tried to escape police by taking them on a 24-minute chase through Harrogate.
It came to an end when the vehicle he had taken without permission broke down.
Appearing at York Crown Court, Newton pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, drink-driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and aggravated vehicle taking.
He was also given an 18 month driving ban and ordered to undertake an extended driving test on completion of his ban.

A man suffered serious injuries after the car he was a passenger in collided with a stationary lorry.
It happened near Karro Foods on Westfield Way in Norton on 31 March.
A Volkswagen Bora hit the stationary HGV and a passenger in the car, a 20-year-old man was left with serious injuries.
He is still in hospital in a stable condition and police have issued an appeal for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

A wet outfield meant no play was possible on day one of the Championship match between Yorkshire and last season's champions Essex.
The whole morning session was wiped out and umpires Ian Gould and Richard Illingworth agreed to inspect in the afternoon at 13:40 BST.
Heavy rain at Headingley had left the outfield saturated and the decision was taken to call play off for the day.
Play is set to resume at 11:00 BST on Saturday.
A man has been jailed for more than 14 years after a police officer was beaten around the head with his own handcuffs in a "relentless" attack.
Dale Cheetham, 22, used the handcuffs "as a knuckle duster" to assault Sgt Richard Pettican in 2017.
Cheetham, of no fixed abode, was jailed for 14-and-a-half years at Sheffield Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to charges of robbery, possession of a bladed article, wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, driving whilst disqualified and assault.
