Mark Burns-Williamson will tonight hand-out over £166,000 to groups working to reduce violence and weapons in the community.
He says the total amount of money returned to West Yorkshire communities so far from the Safer Communities Fund since it was started in 2014 is more than £2.2m.
The fund's financed through money taken from criminals under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Mr Burns-Williamson says 510 projects have benefited as a result.
The family of a Leeds grandmother with leukaemia is appealing to the Jewish community for a stem cell donor.
Hilary Levinson, 62, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in September.
The Anthony Nolan charity said she urgently requires new stem cells from a matching tissue type.
Mrs Levinson's son Adam said "the answer for a stem cell donor to save her life probably lies in the Jewish community".
The site, in Barnsley, has been milling flour since 1865 and was restored in 1976.

A Yorkshire man planning to run the London Marathon at the weekend dressed as a 5ft-wide Poppy says he came up with the challenge to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War One.
Owen Willis, 49, is trying to gain the world record for the "fastest man to run a marathon dressed as a three-dimensional plant."
The Scarborough man must complete the 26.2 mile race in under five hours to beat the existing record.

Rotherham child abuse whistleblower Jayne Senior (pictured) is to lead a delegation to Nigeria, offering advice on how to tackle child sexual exploitation (CSE).
She will travel to the capital Abuja with academics and professionals from the US and UK.
A report by the children's charity Unicef, external found one in four girls and one in 10 boys in Nigeria will experience sexual violence before they turn 18 years old.
Organisers, the Jose Foundation, said: "We need to tackle this issue now."

It's emerged it could take up to a year to restore a landslip in Scarborough which left a dozen chalets at risk of collapse.
Engineers are preparing to assess the extent of cracks in the path near the spa, on Scarborough's South Cliff, over the next few days.
The cracks appeared last month after a retaining wall behind the row of chalets collapsed.
Owners of the chalets have been advised not to enter while officials attempt to find out what caused the problem.
The borough council say the work "can't be rushed."
Two men have been arrested after a "noxious substance" was sprayed at a group of teenagers in Doncaster.
It happened at about 08:15 yesterday morning, when two people driving along Ryecroft Road in a silver Rover vehicle sprayed a group of six youngsters with a substance from a water pistol.
Two 16-year-old girls were taken to hospital to be treated for minor burns.
South Yorkshire Police say "two Doncaster men, both aged 30, have been arrested on suspicion of serious assault."
Police are treating it as an isolated incident and say "inquiries are taking place to identify the substance used."
