    Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani says he did not reconsider the decision to take the club on a controversial post-season trip to Myanmar, despite criticism from the city's Labour MPs.

    MPs Rachel Reeves, Hilary Benn, Richard Burgon, Fabian Hamilton and Alex Sobel said it was "deeply inappropriate".

    United began their tour on Wednesday, losing 2-1 to the hosts' National League All Stars in Yangon.

    Radrizzani told the BBC he wasn't "interested in playing politics".

    Sheffield Pride organisers have been criticised for describing the event as a march "of celebration not protest".

    The comment, included in an email to participants, has sparked anger on social media, with one person saying it was "whitewashing our entire struggle".

    Concerns have also been raised over a plan to vet placards on the march.

    Event manager Darren Hopkinson said the main priority was to celebrate though he appreciated the event had a protest element to it.

    Officers searching the Lodge Moor area of Sheffield have found the body of a man believed to be Mark Richardson.

    The 49-year-old was reported missing on Friday 4 May.

    Although formal identification is yet to take place, his family have been informed and are receiving specialist support.

    The death is not being treated as suspicious.

    Musician John Parr, who is most famous for his 1985 hit single St. Elmo's Fire, has expressed his regret at the closure of a well known music shop.

    The Grammy nominated musician described the closure of Electro Music on Copley Road, Doncaster, as a "great shame".

    The shop had been open for 26 years.

    Campaigners are urging officials not to knock-down a "brutalist" building in Bradford.

    Buildings like the Jacobs Well office block were built across the UK after World War II, but the block is due to be demolished on 2 July.

    Bradford Civic Society said the council, which own the building, should be absolutely positive there was no alternative to demolition.

    It looks doubtful that any efforts to keep the building will be successful.

    Staff at Diamonds Classic Gold Jewellers at Imperial Buildings were threatened by three armed men on Monday 30 April.

    A large quantity of jewellery was stolen in the incident and the men were reported to have made off in a stolen black Honda Civic.

    Celebrations are continuing after Huddersfield Town secured their place in the Premier League next season after scoring an all-important point against Chelsea in a draw last night.

    Shantelle Kirkup, from Northallerton, was hit on St Cuthbert's Way, Darlington, on Sunday afternoon.

    The 29-year-old was with her five-year-old son, who was injured in the crash.

    Bradford-based Morrisons has reported a 3.8% rise in like-for-like sales, excluding fuel, for the 13 weeks to 6 May.

    The supermarket chain attributed the growth to, among other things, its new wholesaling partnership with McColl's, which saw a 1.8% rise in like-for-like sales.

    Morrisons also said it had introduced two new ranges in this period - its "Wonky" line of misshapen, low-priced fruit and vegetables, and its cut-price own label Savers, which features chilled and frozen food items.

    John Healey, Labour MP for Wentworth and Dearne, has made the call after receiving a letter from a local student concerned about recent changes to GCSEs and the impact they are having on student stress levels.

    Meanwhile, the Education Support Partnership says it dealt with over 8,500 cases in Yorkshire between April 2017 and March 2018 - a 38% rise in education staff getting in touch.

    A 23-year-old man was shot last night as he sat in a car at traffic lights on Burmantofts Street, near to the A64 flyover.

    He was taken to hospital for treatment to a minor gunshot wound on his shoulder and was arrested by police on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
