Read MorePolice officers had a lucky escape on Sunday night in the Parson Cross area of Sheffield after a petrol bomb was thrown at them.
They were attending an incident on North Hill Road when they saw two masked people at a nearby house.
When they went to see what was happening, one of the two threw a brick at a vehicle window while another lit a petrol bomb. The bomb was then thrown at the officers.
The offenders then managed to escape by throwing another petrol bomb in a garden alleyway and blocking the path so officers couldn't pass. No one was injured.
Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to contact police.

When you sit down to your breakfast in the morning and open your favourite box of cereal, the last thing you expect to find flowing into your bowl is a snake.
But that's exactly what happened to one man from Sheffield at the weekend:
The 3ft-long corn snake had been in the man's box of cereal and then slithered out and into the dishwasher at his home in Mona Road on Saturday, according to the RSPCA.
Corn snakes are a species native to North America, although they are one of the most commonly kept exotic pets in this country.
According to the RSPCA, corn snakes are "particularly good at escaping" and want anyone who may have lost theirs to get in touch.
The snake was unharmed and is now in specialist care.
Quote MessageThe poor chap was absolutely terrified. I think it was the last thing he expected to find in his kitchen."
Katie Hetherington, RSPCA, Sheffield

The family of a 32-year-old Sheffield woman who was killed in the Manchester terror attack has paid tribute to her exactly one year on from the fatal blast.
Kelly Brewster was killed in the attack at the Manchester Arena on 22 May 2017 while her niece Hollie was seriously injured.
A year on, South Yorkshire Police continue to provide support to the Brewster family.
Today, members of her family have said that Kelly is still in their thoughts every single day and that they miss her so much.
They say that on 22 March last year, she was the happiest she had ever been and had been making plans for her life with her partner, her friends and her family.
