It happened at a junction on Bullerthorpe Lane at about 11:00.
The biker's injuries are not though to be life-threatening.
West Yorkshire Police have reminded motorbike riders to make extra checks when pulling out at a junction.
Dozens of adult and juvenile geese have been found shot and dumped in a North Yorkshire river.
About 25 greylag geese were found by walkers last week between Harper Wath footbridge, near Aysgarth, and Worton.
Such were the numbers of dead geese, it was initially feared there could have been a large-scale wildlife poisoning incident, police say.
However, x-ray pictures (above) show the birds had recently been shot with a shotgun.
It is an offence to take or kill these birds during the closed season which runs from 1 February to 31 August.

The mother of a Leeds teenager found in an emaciated state who later died said she "started to shut down" as her son's health deteriorated.
Dawn Cranston has told Leeds Crown Court that 18-year-old Jordan Burling's (pictured) condition worsened in April 2016 - two months before his death at the family home in Farnley.
Ms Cranston, 45, denies manslaughter along with Jordan's grandmother Denise Cranston, 70, and sister Abigail Burling, 25.
All three also deny an alternative count of causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable person.
The trial continues.

City of York Council's started a consultation on introducing a clean air zone.

Any public or locally-run bus which goes into the clean air zone five or more times a day should emit ultra-low emissions.

A Bradford man has appeared in court charged with arranging to send almost £300 to another person knowing it may be used for terrorism.
Asim Majid, 29, of Cranbourne Road, is also accused of having a book that is likely to be useful to someone committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
Mr Majid is charged with agreeing to transfer £280 to someone, knowing or having reasonable cause to suspect the money would or may be used for the purposes of terrorism earlier this year.
He indicated he would be pleading not guilty to both charges.
He was arrested on 13 June by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing North East following an investigation.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 29 June.
A Leeds man wanted by police after murdering a 12-year-old boy has been caught in Colombia.
Alistair Weekes, 36, previously from Armley, is yet to serve a 20-year sentence for the murder of 12-year-old Danny Gubbels in the Dutch city of Breda in 2010.
He was sentenced on appeal to 20 years in prison in 2015 but was not present for the verdict.
A three-year manhunt then started, culminating in his arrest on last week, West Yorkshire Police, external say.
The Dutch authorities will be asking their counterparts in Colombia for his extradition, the force adds.

The 38-year-old, who was living on Park Road and originally from Poland, was found just outside Mandela Gardens on Sunday afternoon.
A post-mortem examination carried out earlier this week showed he died from a head injury.
A 27-year-old man from Barnsley has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Firefighters have been dealing with a blaze at a scrap yard at Marsh Gate in Doncaster.
It is understood crews have the fire under control and are damping down.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is expected to get under way.
Marsh Gate road is currently closed from its junction with York Road.
People are being asked to have their say on plans for a new road to bypass the unstable and currently closed A59, at Kex Gill in North Yorkshire.
The road between Skipton and Harrogate has a history of landslips and was closed after a large crack appeared in its surface at the end of May.
North Yorkshire County Council's preferred option to fix the issue is for "the realignment of the road to the other side of the valley."
The plan will be on show at a drop-in event at Norwood Social Hall between 10:00 and 15:00 on Saturday.
