    The 25-year-old rider remains in hospital after the crash at 17:15 yesterday.

    It happened on Car Hill in Greasebrough when the bike was in a collision with a blue Audi A4.

    Police are appealing for information to help find a missing Vietnamese teenager last seen in Leeds.

    Tu Van Phung, 14, went missing from Kent on 1 August this year.

    CCTV footage showed he caught a train to Leeds and he was filmed leaving Leeds train station.

    West Yorkshire Police said there is a possibility he could be in the South Yorkshire area.

    Cannabis plants worth about £50,000 have been seized from a house in Sheffield.

    The haul was found in a police raid on Roach Road in Sharrowvale yesterday.

    Police say 10kg of the class B drug was recovered.

    The plants were located in the house's attic, bedrooms and cellar.

    A man was taken to hospital with injuries after a takeaway was shot at in what police believe was a targeted attack in Huddersfield.

    Police say they were called to the Peppers takeaway on Saint John's Road, Birkby at about 22:35 last night.

    Staff and customers were in the shop at the time and the injured 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries caused by broken glass.

    Police say they're looking at the possibility this shooting is linked to an attack at a private hospital earlier this week.

    A Leeds United player has laid flowers at the statue of Elland Road hero Billy Bremner in memory of a fan who died recently:

    Defender Barry Douglas was contacted on social media by Charlie Costelloe, a Dublin-based Leeds fan whose dad, Cormac, had died a short time ago.

    Mr Costelloe had recently bought an engraved stone by the statue for his dad, and he asked Douglas if anyone from the club would lay a lily on the stone to remember him.

    Douglas told Mr Costelloe he would "see to it personally" and later in the day he kept to his word.

    Writing on Twitter, Mr Costelloe said the player was "an absolute credit to the club":

    A list of North Yorkshire's mobile phone "not-spots", where people get little or no signal, has been compiled by the county council.

    It comes after plans to improve communications for the emergency services by building phone masts in the remotest parts of the Yorkshire Dales were approved earlier this year.

    The following areas have been found by North Yorkshire County Council to be worst affected by a lack of signal

    • A684 west of Leyburn near Sissy Bank
    • The north end of Coverdale
    • West of Masham near Healey
    • Appletreewick, Craven
    • Skipton on Swale
    • A1041, south of Selby
    • Duggleby
    • Kildale
    • Mickley
    • West Tanfield

    The council says it's now looking at ways to improve coverage and will find out if mobile network operators have plans to build any masts in the worst affected areas over the next three years.

    A £1m lottery prize, won by a ticket holder in Leeds, has been given to charity, after it sat unclaimed for about six months.

    The deadline for the buyer to claim their winnings passed at midnight.

    The money and any interest it has earned will now go to National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

    Have you seen Iqra Rani? The 16-year-old has gone missing and was last seen in the Cleckheaton area yesterday evening.

    She is believed to have travelled to Bradford and may be in the Manningham area of the city.

    She's about 5ft 3ins tall, of slim build with dark brown hair and was last seen wearing a shalwar kameez (baggy trousers and a long shirt), red leggings and gold sandals.

    Anyone who believes they may have seen her is asked to urgently contact police.

    A bit of famous derring-do which took place 157 years ago in the air above the Piece Hall in Halifax is to be recreated.

    International sensation Charles Blondin, who achieved celebrity in the 1850s for his efforts in walking over Niagara Falls, completed a tightrope walk across the 18th Century cloth hall on 23 August 1861.

    To mark the achievement the walk is going to be recreated as part of The Blondin Gala, being held there on 15 September.

    UK tightrope performers, The Bullzini Family, will attempt the high-wire feat for the show.

    Their balancing skills will be accompanied by sideshow curiosities, Vaudeville-style street theatre, circus and magic acts.

    Chris and Phoebe Bullzini are used to undertaking stress-inducing feats up high.

    The pair of wire-walkers are the only UK couple to have tied the knot while balancing up high.

    They married 30m up in the air in 2015.

    East Midlands Ambulance Service has said three people were taken to hospital by road ambulance following a crash on the M1 in which a two-year-old girl died.

    The girl, from Yorkshire, was in a car which was involved in a collision with a lorry on the northbound carriageway just after J25 for Nottingham and Derby on Wednesday.

    The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland air ambulance attended the scene but a spokeswoman couldn't confirm whether it took anyone to hospital.

    EMAS said it sent two paramedics in ambulance cars and two crewed ambulances after receiving a call just after 15:00.

    The three patients were taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

    A house in Harehills has been 'closed' by Leeds City Council for anti-social behaviour.

    A closure order was issued for 29 Darfield Road after police seized 360 bags of cannabis and £2,400 in cash during a raid earlier in the year.

    As part of the closure order, the house will now be shut for up to six weeks.

    No-one other than the landlord and agreed contractors will be allowed to access the property during that time.

    Plans to transform an unfinished city centre hotel into student accommodation have been approved, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

    Scaffolding still surrounds what was meant to be a 16-storey hotel in Portland Crescent, next to Milennium Square.

    The site has been untouched since 2015 when its developers went into administration.

    The block will be turned into 312 student flats, complete with a downstairs gym and bike storage facility.

    A man was dragged along the ground by his own car when a carjacker stole his vehicle in a supermarket car park, police have revealed.

    The 22-year-old victim tried to stop a man stealing his BMW at the Asda in Gliwice Way in Doncaster earlier this month.

    The black 1 Series car has never been found since the theft which happened at about 21:50 on Sunday 12 August.

    Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to contact police.
