A 33-year-old man who died after being hit by a car in Leeds on Friday night has been named by police.
Stephen Linley, from Leeds, died at the scene of the crash on Black Bull Street near the junction with Armouries Way at about 21:40.
He was crossing the road when he was hit by a black BMW 325.
The driver, a 25-year-old man from Batley, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has now been released under investigation.

Similar sawdust heart pincushions were made by soldiers at the end of the First World War as part of their recuperation.
Helen Birmingham launched the new project to decorate 1,568 pincushions - one for every day the war lasted - to raise funds for veterans' mental health charity Combat Stress.
It's believed to be the first major occupational therapy project in the UK.
Each heart has been assigned a particular date and has been decorated using the traditional bead and pin method, which was used on the original cushions.
The final artwork, covering 43 sq m, is due to go on show on 3 November at Woodend Creative Workspace in Scarborough.

A woman tried to grab a toddler while the little girl was walking with her mother in Hull, according to Humberside Police.
Officers say the woman ran off when the mother of the two-year-old challenged.
It happened on Gordon Street at about 09:00 on Wednesday 10 October.
The child wasn't harmed, but police say they are trying to find the woman involved.
A man is in hospital after being shot in the leg in Sheffield.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was shot on Verdon Street, Burngreave, at about 11:30 yesterday.
South Yorkshire Police say it was not "a random attack".
Three men from the area have been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Amriz Iqbal, 40, from Wetherby died after being hit by a car in what police have called a "targeted attack", another man was left with minor injuries.
Officers are now trying to find out more about the car pictured, which was seen in the area around the time of the incident on Sandford Road on 3 October.
A 38-year-old man from Bradford has been charged with Mr Iqbal's murder and has been remanded into custody.

Buskers in York are to be given cards saying they can't hand microphones over to members of the public in an attempt to tackle anti-social behaviour.
The City of York Council says it wants street performers to help reduce nuisance noise, by not handing their microphones over to passers-by, often groups of people who are drunk.
There's also to be a review of the buskers' code of conduct.
A man who was left unable to walk after suffering a brain injury four years ago has completed his first marathon.
Matt Burke, 34, from Hull, had to learn to walk again after falling from a ladder while working as a scaffolder in 2012.
He suffered a serious brain injury in the fall.
Yesterday he ran the Yorkshire Marathon, which takes in York and several surrounding villages.
Matt said "The support was amazing.
"For me it was just determination and just wanting to get to the finish line.
"My emotions were everywhere, I was just ecstatic."
The issue of homeless people being forced into slavery is being highlighted at a conference in Huddersfield today.
It follows the publication of a report by Homelessness charity The Passage, external which makes a series of recommendations.
Conference organisers say it'll focus on how vulnerable people are at risk of being made to work for free, go into the sex trade or, in some cases, have organs removed by criminal gangs.

More than 1,400 extra people from across Yorkshire are needed to help get parcels and Christmas cards delivered this year, according to Royal Mail.
The firm's annual recruitment drive will see 23,000 temporary workers join its operations across the UK to help deliver post to customers.
In Yorkshire, some of the jobs will start this month and end in January next year.
Doncaster will see 70 workers join the Royal Mail workforce, with 236 in Leeds, and 625 in Sheffield.
An additional 476 people are being sought to work on the North East parcel sorting centre, which is also based in Leeds.

A man arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Sheffield at the weekend has been released under investigation.
A 28-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by a grey Fiat Punto on St Mary's Road in the city centre at about 02:00 on Saturday.
The car was found burnt-out in Heeley.
A 51-year-old local man, who had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop, has now been released under investigation, according to police.
