Passengers have been injured after a lorry crashed into tram-train in Sheffield earlier.
Steve Barber, 63, from Nottingham, was travelling on the new tram-train when a lorry crashed into it on Staniforth Road.
He says the tram-train was only travelling at about 20mph when they were hit, wrecking the tram and injuring passengers, including himself.
"It just appeared in front of me. I didn't even see the cab, I just saw the trailer of it that hit us in the middle.
"We bounced off the rails, went into the air, and then crashed into the ground. It's a complete wreck, staff were crying."
Mr Barber is the vice-president for the Light Transit Association and was visiting the city to see the new vehicles, that started in operation between Sheffield and Rotherham today.
There are no serious injuries after a lorry hit a new tram-train this afternoon, according to South Yorkshire Police.
Photos from the scene show a white lorry which has apparently hit a tram-train on Staniforth Road, Sheffield.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.

One of England's leading meat retailers has been told to improve its labelling after problems were found at its Rotherham factory.
The Food Standards Agency found Crawshaws hadn't properly informed customers that meat had been frozen at the factory.
The chain has more than 50 stores in the Midlands and north of England.

Filey Coastguard have revealed what caused them to cordon off parts of the town's beach yesterday.
It came after a walker raised concerns with the coastguard.
In the incident yesterday they asked people to "stay well back" after closing parts of the beach due to "unconfirmed historical ordnance."
On social media today they've revealed that after high tide the team, along with the Navy Bomb Disposal team, went back to the beach.
They say they located what was thought to be ordnance, but after closer inspection it was deemed as non ordnance and safe.
The picture above shows what was found.
What it is we may never know - looks a bit like the bottom of a lamp-post to me.
The expedition will reach the summit on 11 November to mark those who lost their lives in conflict.

Police pulled over a road-hog driver earlier for doing 45 mph in the fast lane of the M1 and holding up other drivers, even though all other lanes were clear.
The driver has now been issued with a ticket for driving without reasonable consideration for other road users on the section of M1 near Leeds.
West Yorkshire Police said: "Vehicle stopped due to travelling 45mph in lane 3 of 3. Lanes 1 & 2 clear with traffic queuing behind it."

Whitby Coastguard says: "If you are out walking along the Cleveland Way over the coming weeks, be aware of recent cliff falls."
In the picture above you can see an entire section of the Cleveland Way, close to Saltwick Bay, has disappeared, due to coastal erosion.
The coastguard is warning people wherever possible to stick to the path and avoid getting closer to the cliff edge.

A late break of serve saw Edmund, from Beverley, take the first set in 32 minutes.
But he faced a tougher challenge in the second, finally breaking the world number 17 in the tie-break to win in one hour and 23 minutes.
It was his 11th victory from his last 13 matches.
