    A CCTV picture has been released of a man police would like to speak to after a bank card was stolen in Sheffield and used to steal "several thousand pounds," according to police:

    The victim had their bank card stolen from an ATM on The Moor in January.

    The thief also obtained his victim's PIN, according to police.

    The card was later used in the Manchester area to withdraw cash, police said.

    Work is to start next month on a £20.8m leisure centre in Pontefract, which will become the largest of its kind in the Wakefield district.

    The Five Towns Leisure and Wellbeing Hub will be built on the Pontefract Park site.

    It will have a swimming pool, gym and tennis courts.

    Councillor Jacquie Speight said: “This is fantastic news for the Five Towns as people will get the first class facilities they deserve, benefitting current residents and future generations.

    “It will play a part in tackling health issues such as childhood obesity, long term respiratory and circulatory diseases, and mental health conditions."

    Stagecoach will carry on running the East Midlands Trains franchise, which runs services between Sheffield and London, after being given an extension by the government.

    The operator said the five month extension would "bridge the gap" and ensure a smooth transition to the next franchise being awarded.

    The current franchise, which was due to end in less than a month, will now run until at least 18 August.

    Officers released the CCTV images after the reported attack in West Park on Saturday 9 February.

    Humberside Police said the man in the image could "have important information that could assist our investigation."

    Thousands have told a survey by the Police Federation there simply aren't enough of them to do the job properly.

    The federation also says officers and the public are being exposed to "increased risk" as more frontline officers are forced to work alone.

    Officer numbers have fallen since 2010, but the government says it's spending millions of pounds recruiting more staff.

    A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a flat in Leeds on Tuesday morning.

    Officers were called to an address on Athlone Grove, Armley, at 09:42 and found the body of woman inside the property.

    She was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Officers were later contacted by the ambulance service after a man fell from a footbridge over the A64 near Quarry House, Leeds.

    He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and has since been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the woman's death.

    West Yorkshire Police said he was continuing to receive treatment in hospital and remained under police guard.

    A Screwfix and a Tesco Express in Hillsborough, a Texaco petrol station in Chapeltown and a Spar on Pot House Lane were all attacked between 02:00 and 04:20 yesterday morning.

    Two cars, a blue Vauxhall Vectra and a Skoda Roomster, which are thought to have been used in the raids, have been found by police.

    Police officers are appealing for more information.

    Firefighters have freed a dog which got its leg trapped through gaps in its cage in East Yorkshire earlier today.

    Humberside Fire and Rescue Service used small tools to release the dog at a property on Belvedere Road in Hessle.

    The dog was left in the care of its owner after being freed at about 10:00 this morning.
