Work is to begin to restore one of Leeds' most historic buildings, which is situated on the city's oldest street.
The First White Cloth Hall's west wing will be rebuilt with a new courtyard, atrium and shopfront, it's been confirmed, with work starting later this month.
The building, on Kirkgate, dates back to 1711, when it was used for textiles.
Heritage Lottery Funding and Historic England have both financed the project.
Trevor Mitchell, from Historic England, said: "We’ve been campaigning for years to save this birthplace of the city’s economy and our partnership has come together just in time to rescue it from collapse."
Work is due to be completed in Spring 2020.

Speeding drivers in East Yorkshire are being warned to slow down after a spate of deaths on the roads.
Police say since January there have been eight deaths on the regions roads and that speed is likely to have been a factor in those fatalities.
The force recently recorded one driver doing 156mph on the M18 and another doing 83mph in a 30mph zone.
Ch Insp Ian Dixon from Humberside Police says: "If someone is driving at 80mph in a 30mph area it gives them very little reaction time whatsoever and it's highly likely an accident is going to happen."

Legally, people must be over 18 to buy a knife, but on six occasions in North Yorkshire a 16-year-old volunteer was able to buy a knife from branches of major businesses.
The test purchases by North Yorkshire Trading Standards were in support of North Yorkshire Police’s Knife Crime Awareness Week.
County Councillor Andrew Lee, said: “The results of these test purchases raise concerns, particularly against the backdrop of instances of knife crime elsewhere in the country."
Det Supt Steve Thomas, said: “All it takes is for one knife to fall in the wrong hands to have a devastating impact on many lives, not just the victim but their friends, family, community and the perpetrator as well."
The shops involved have received verbal and written advice and further test purchases will be carried out to check that improvements have been implemented.
The worker spent four weeks in a burns unit and needed extensive skin grafts to his body.

A Yorkshire hospital has issued a warning to people who smoke in its grounds, saying they will be asked leave.
Health bosses at Hull Royal Infirmary say the hospital "is filled with patients with breathing problems caused by smoking, some of whom die".
The hospital's chief executive Chris Long says: "Smokers persist in gathering around the front door despite warning signs declaring the hospital grounds smoke-free.
“It is completely unacceptable that our patients, along with children and mums-to-be, should be forced to endure the smoke of those selfish people who think it is okay to smoke anywhere in a hospital’s grounds.”
Trust security manager Ron Gregory said: “It’s unfortunate that it requires this level of involvement when we have invested time and public money in not just warning signs and equipment, but help for patients to stop smoking.
“People need to be aware we will continue to enforce the smoking ban until the message is received loud and clear that smoking in a hospital is not acceptable.”

The government says breaking the rules is a serious criminal act, which could lead to significant fines and prison sentences.
In December last year, Gatwick was shut after drone sightings near the runway, which affected more than 1,000 flights and about 140,000 passengers.
