    National Rail Enquiries say: "Due to the incident blocking all lines trains may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or be revised."

    Police are appealing for information after a woman, found dead 15 years ago in the Yorkshire Dales, was finally identified.

    North Yorkshire Police say the woman, whose body was discovered in a remote location on the Pennine Way, between Pen-y-ghent and Horton in Ribblesdale, on 20 September 2004, was Lamduan Armitage, nee Seekanya.

    The force carried out DNA testing with family members in Thailand in order to confirm Ms Armitage's identity.

    Now the Cold Case Review unit are asking people to help them build a picture of her life in the UK.

    Lamduan, who was married with three children, was originally from the Udon Thani province in north east Thailand and lived in the UK between 1991 and 2004, including Portsmouth, Rugby and Preston.

    Officers say: "We're seeking information from anyone who knew Lamduan or her family between 1991 the time she died in September 2004.

    "No matter how seemingly insignificant you think the information is, it could prove to be very important to help us establish details about her life and the circumstances surrounding her death."

    If you're making a journey on the rails in Yorkshire this morning, there are some problems due to a trespass incident between Newcastle and Durham, which has resulted in lines being blocked between these stations.

    Consequently some trains between Yorkshire and the North East may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.

    National Rail Enquiries anticipate disruption will continue until at least 08:00.

    An ex-council manager previously found guilty of forcing young men to perform sex acts in return for grant payments has admitted 14 further sex offences.

    Roger Dodds, 83, worked for Sheffield City Council's education department between 1975 and 1993.

    He is currently serving a 16-year jail term for four counts of sexual assault.

    The latest offences relate to seven young men and a boy in the 1970s.

    Dodds will be sentenced on 18 April via video link from HMP Wakefield.

    In 2016, Dodds pleaded guilty to indecently assaulting four men and a young boy while he was working for the council's Grants and Awards Department in the 1970s.

    The council has said it was "deeply sorry" for failing to act on complaints against him and moving him to a position working with schools.

    Police say a 48-year-old woman has died in a crash on the North York Moors.

    It happened in the A169 Whitby to Pickering road yesterday afternoon, just south of the entrance to RAF Fylingdales, near Goathland.

    The woman's car - a grey Suzuki Jimny - was the only vehicle involved.

    Despite the efforts of a doctor and paramedics, the woman, who was from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Police are appealing to anyone who was travelling along the A169 and witnessed the collision, or believes they saw the grey Suzuki prior to the crash, or captured the vehicle or the collision on their dashcam, to contact them.

    Emergency crews are still at the site of a derelict mill in Bradford after it caught fire.

    At least 50 firefighters and 10 fire engines were at the scene on Great Horton Road, at the height of the blaze yesterday.

    Investigations are continuing this morning, with concerns about the building's structural safety.

    Once a structural engineer has deemed conditions safe enough a specialist fire investigator will examine the building, the fire service said.

    A man has been jailed after he seriously assaulted two men in what police have described as "senseless" attacks.

    Shaun Tolley, 34, of York Street, Barnsley, was jailed for 11 years at Sheffield Crown Court.

    Tolley assaulted his first 27-year-old victim in Cudworth on 27 October 2018, leaving the man seriously hurt.

    Shortly after, Tolley was asked by a 44-year-old man if he was all right.

    Tolley then assaulted that man, causing life-changing injuries to the second victim.

    Det Con Emma Shipley said: "Tolley’s senseless actions that night have had a significant impact on the lives of his victims.

    "He has received a lengthy custodial sentence, which reflects the gravity of his offending."

    Police have appealed for information after a driver died after crashing into bollards outside a shop in Sherburn-in-Elmet.

    The 56-year-old local man was killed when the black Volvo V50 he was driving mounted the pavement outside the Spar shop on Low Street, while travelling in the direction of South Milford.

    The car struck bollards and a stationary vehicle, with the driver then being treated by paramedics at the scene before being pronounced dead.

    North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occured at about 20:20 on Saturday 16 March.

    A convicted killer went on to murder a 65-year-old property developer in South Yorkshire after being released from prison on licence at medium risk, an inquest has heard.

    John Gogarty (pictured) was stabbed 69 times during an attack on him by two people at his home in Wombwell, South Yorkshire, in July 2015.

    One of those who attacked him, Ian Birley, had previously been jailed for murdering another pensioner.

    Witnesses explained how the pair had broken into Mr Gogarty's home and demanded his PIN before stealing his wallet and carrying out the brutal attack.

    They then proceeded to withdraw £500 from his bank account - which was to be used to service a drug debt Birley had incurred - before then taking a bottle Bollinger champagne from the victim's property and burning their clothes in a wooded area, the inquest heard.

    The inquest, which is expected to last five days, continues.
