    Bradford Council is offering free events at all of its libraries for parents and their children as part of the Summer Reading Challenge.

    It's hoped thousands of children will take part, encouraging them to borrow and read six library books over the summer.

    Last year, 3,600 children, aged between four and 11 years old, took part with more than half of them completing the challenge.

    This year's theme is Space Chase, to tie in with the 50th anniversary of the Moon landings.

    More than 120,000 people went to last year's event, which takes place for three days for three weekends in May, July and August.
