Campaigners in Bradford are celebrating after it was announced a new crematorium will be built on a private site instead of a public park.
The £10.5m crematorium will be developed on a field off Shetcliffe Lane, Bierley, replacing the existing facility at Scholemoor.
It follows a campaign from residents who argued Littlemore Park did not "belong" to Bradford Council.
The council later deemed the park "unsuitable" for a crematorium.
Negotiations are taking place to agree a price with private owners of the Bierley space.
Friends of Littlemore Park campaigner Carolyn Bowe said: "We’re over the moon.
"This announcement is a real champagne moment for us. Going forward we have to make sure this doesn’t happen again."
A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to talk to about a raid on a Costcutter shop in Sheffield.
At 07:00, on 9 November, a man entered the shop on St Marys Road, stole a bottle of beer, and left the shop, according to South Yorkshire Police.
He then returned, stole tobacco and attempted to take cash from the till, but was disturbed by a member of staff and made off, the force said.
Anyone who recognises the man in the image is asked to contact police.
People returning books late to libraries in Wakefield have been told they can write-off their fines in an unusual and charitable way.
Wakefield Council-run libraries say they will accept food to write-off what's owed on late returns as long as it is non-perishable and in tins or packets.
Councillor Jacqui Speight says she hopes the idea might spread to other organisations.
She says: "Wouldn't it be great to extend it to universities, schools and colleges and get young people involved so they're helping to collect?
"If other organisations were involved it would be just wonderful."

Richard Dyson (pictured), 56, was last seen at about 23:00 on 17 November walking towards the A6135 Sheffield Road, Hoyland, near Parkside Farm.
Officers say: "With Christmas only one day away, it would be incredibly out of character for Richard not to contact or spend time with his daughter."
Det Insp Neil Coop said: “Richard’s daughter is distraught as it has now been over a month since she last saw her dad, it must be especially difficult knowing his birthday and Christmas are upon us.
“I’d like to issue a personal appeal to Richard, please get in touch with your daughter, let her know that you’re safe for Christmas."
Mr Dyson is described as being between 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall, of slim build, with short grey hair.
He's believed to be wearing a dark, navy blue waterproof Kappa jacket with white stitching detail.
Anyone with information about Mr Dyson's whereabouts is being asked to contact police.

Writing on social media they warned: "Be aware, someone has drilled holes into the road on Manor Heath and inserted large screws.
"This is obviously a danger and will cause damage to road users.
"We have been and removed the ones we can find."

An icon of the patron saint of Selby Abbey has had to be moved to a "discreet location" to stop worshippers kissing it and wearing away the paint.
The image of St Germain (pictured) was commissioned for the Anglican cathedral as part of celebrations marking the 950th anniversary of its founding. It was painted by iconographer Aidan Hart.
In the Orthodox tradition it is common for worshippers to kiss a religious icon and the abbey has had to place it "out of harms way" to avoid damage before it's varnished.
The vicar of Selby Abbey, John Weetman, says: "At the moment it's out of harm's way, out of the reach of touch, because it hasn't been varnished yet and we know people from the Orthodox tradition do like to kiss icons."
A bicycle shop in Sheffield has been ram-raided for the second time in two days, say police.
Officers say they were called to Langsett Cycles on Infirmary Road at about 23:05 last night and discovered a vehicle had been used to ram the building.
The building was damaged in the incident, but nothing was stolen and the suspects fled the scene, according to South Yorkshire Police.
The force says it is exploring possible links with a burglary at the same premises in the early hours of 22 December when the doors were smashed out of their frames (pictured).
Police say a car (pictured) was driven into the building at 04:14 and a number of bicycles taken.
Anyone who knows anything about either incident is asked to contact police.
