Crews were called to the blaze at the Greenhill Industrial Estate, Moderna Way, just before 13:00, the service said.
A number of appliances and specialist officers, including a foam spreader, are at the scene.
The nearby railway line has been closed due to smoke, causing cancellations and delays.
A police cordon has been put in place at the site of the blaze.
Officers said: "Please avoid Mytholmroyd area, huge incident involving Fire and Police.
"About 12,000 litres of kerosene suspected involved."
Kraish Symes, from Bradford, applied just two months after passing his driving test.

Delays in removing barriers which block disabled cyclists from getting around York have been described as "shameful" by campaigners.
York Cycle Campaign (YCC) has compiled a list of more than 30 places where barriers are impeding cycle paths across the city.
Jamie Wood (pictured), who uses a trike as his main mobility aid, has said he wants to see the barriers removed or modified.
Mr Wood said: "To go on a route I haven’t been on before I have to get photographs of every barrier and work out whether I can get through it, because every one is a unique design.
Holgate ward councillor, Rachel Melly, said she and other local councillors planned to use ward funding to remove barriers to Hob Moor and elsewhere earlier this year, but were told to let the council take care of it.
A YCC spokesperson said: "Cycling provides freedom to so many people. but barriers like those at Hob Moor slice off entire sections of the city to people with limited mobility."
The council’s director of transport, James Gilchrist. said: "We're aware of locations in the city where current ‘access control’ points were installed many years ago which present an obstacle for some disabled users.
"Many of these were installed to address specific safety concerns at the time and require careful consideration before removal or adaptation."

The 18-year-old victim needed stitches to his face after also being repeatedly punched in a ginnel in Leeds.
The incident, on Swinnow Lane in Bramley, took place at about 13:30 on Thursday, police said.
Shortly afterwards four men, all aged 18, and a 17-year-old youth, were treated in A&E at Leeds General Infirmary for injuries caused by a corrosive substance, officers said.
The males were subsequently arrested in connection with the attack on Swinnow Lane and are being held in police custody.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police.

A giant inflatable Santa on the outskirts of York is raising money for a local children's charity this Christmas.
The Santa is more than 25ft (8m) tall and stands next to the home of Peter Routledge in Poppleton.
Peter is raising funds for Martin House Children's Hospice, external in Boston Spa.
The charity supports children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across West, North and East Yorkshire.
Peter told BBC Radio York: "I bought it last December to put a smile on people's faces and then this year we extended it to raising money for Martin House. We're getting a fantastic reaction, the giggling and laughter makes it all worthwhile."

The Vauxhall Zafira crashed into a bridge on Leeds and Bradford Road on Tuesday after it was taken from an address in Ganners Road, Bramley.
Alex Flint (pictured below) 30, from Leeds, who was travelling in the car, died at the scene, West Yorkshire Police said.
Kallum Alderson, from Leeds, is due at Leeds Magistrates' Court later today.
Mr Alderson has also been charged with an earlier attempted robbery in Ganners Green and an assault on October 25.

A man who died in a collision involving a stolen car in Bradford has been named by police.
Alex Flint (pictured), 30, from Leeds, was pronounced dead at the scene after a Vauxhall Zafira crashed into a bridge wall on Leeds and Bradford Road on Tuesday.
The car had been stolen from an address in Bramley, police said.
A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident
West Yorkshire Police said the stolen car had been spotted by officers shortly before the crash.
As a result it said the incident had been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
