A trial to test a new Covid-19 vaccine for the Omicron variant is about to begin in Bradford.
The city's Patient Recruitment Centre (PRC) is one of only five in the UK involved in the trial of the new vaccine, which has been developed by Moderna.
The new vaccine targets the Omicron variant, and also aims to protect people against future strains of Covid-19.
Director of the PRC, Prof Dinesh Saralaya told BBC Radio Leeds: "We know that the Covid-19 virus is evolving with various strains. We will be comparing this vaccine with the existing Moderna vaccine, which has been used in the booster rollout across the country.
"This is a unique opportunity for the city to make ground-breaking news, so I think Bradford is very fortunate to be selected."
The centre is hoping to recruit around 150 volunteers to take part in this trial, which starts on 15 February.

The government's been accused of using claims the House of Lords could move to York as a "dead cat" to distract from the ongoing furore around Downing Street parties.
Levelling Up Secretary Michael Gove implied during a radio interview on Thursday the second chamber could temporarily move to the city to allow for repairs to the Houses of Parliament.
He told Times Radio: "I think it’d be a really good thing if the House of Lords were to meet for at least part of the time in Glasgow or in York."
Prime Minister Boris Johnson first mooted the idea in 2020. The plans were later dismissed by parliamentary authorities.
York Central MP Rachael Maskell, said: "It’s a complete dead cat.
"The government is saying outrageous things – throwing out anything they can at every moment to completely distract from what is going on around the prime minister.
"Of course the House of Lords isn’t coming to York."
Last year, Ian Gray, project director for the York Central development, said the idea was "serious" and that a study had been drawn up to consider whether it would be possible.
City of York Council leader Keith Aspden welcomed Mr Gove’s statement.
He said: "The continued interest in moving significant government functions to York Central truly demonstrates the quality of the site, which has been recognised as one of the most important brownfield sites in the country. "

York has cemented its status as a "gastronomic hotspot" while North Yorkshire is the best county for eating out in, an influential poll of diners has said.
The latest 2022 edition of Harden’s Best UK Restaurants features three York establishments on its elite "Harden’s 100" - unbeaten by any other city outside London.
Meanwhile 17 venues from across North Yorkshire are in its top 500.
It places North Yorkshire top of the list of counties with the most top 500 listings, ahead of Kent and the city of Edinburgh, both with 14.
Ratings and reviews in the guide are based on 30,000 reports to a survey of 3,000 regular diners.
Le Cochon Aveugle was York’s top performer, at No 35 in the "Harden’s 100."
The guide says: "Josh and Victoria Overington’s (pictured above) intimate venture in the heart of the city is a small place that packs a mighty punch."
A plaque has been unveiled in Lincolnshire to honour a firefighter who died 30 years ago as he tried to save a young mother and a child.
Malcolm Kirton (pictured) died on 2 February 1992 trying to save the woman and child from a blazing furniture and carpet store in Gainsborough.
It had been reported the pair were inside the store, but it was later found they'd earlier managed to escape through a window.
A Fire Brigades Union red plaque near the Elm Cottage Pub on Church Street, close to the site of the store was unveiled on Wednesday.
Ben Selby, Fire Brigades Union vice president, said: "Leading firefighter Malcolm Kirton was a popular firefighter and loving family man with two young children.
"He gave the ultimate sacrifice in trying to save the lives of others.

Work on the long-awaited Albion Square development, in the centre of Hull, will start this month with the demolition of the former BHS and Co-op buildings.
The multimillion-pound project will create new housing, retail and leisure units and a new urban parkland.
BBC Radio Humberside has been told the demolition work will take around 18 months to complete as experts remove asbestos from the current building and protect three murals, including the Grade II listed "Three Ships", which are going to be re-used elsewhere in the final project.
Councillor Daren Hale, leader of Hull City Council, said: “This is a vitally important site, in the heart of our city centre, but it is in desperate need of regeneration.
“Albion Square will play an important role in the ongoing regeneration of our city centre, complimenting the millions of pounds of projects and investment we’ve already seen, whilst also encouraging and supporting new businesses and investment."
The project is due to be completed in 2026.
