In a statement on social media, external Minster staff said: "It's for people of all faiths and none to gather in prayerful solidarity for the people of Ukraine."
Hull North Labour MP Diana Johnson, external said: "This is so important for the people of the city of Hull to stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine at this time.
"Thank you for organising this Hull Minster, I will be there."
The vigil begins at 19:00 on Friday.

Scientists at Leeds Beckett University have opened a special centre to explore new ways of dealing with obesity.
The number of people with obesity has tripled since 1978, and more than 650 million people across the world are said to be living with the condition.
The new Obesity Institute at opened on World Obesity Day.
Prof Paul Gately said: "People know it's a problem but many people think it's not their problem.
"We know that nearly two thirds of adults and a third of children suffer from this and it will likely shorten and impact on the quality of their life."
The centre will explore themes around how to better encourage active lifestyles and how technology can be used to help people improve their diet, or exercise more.
A man was injured in a knifepoint attack by a group of up to 10 people wearing masks in Sheffield, police say.
A group of between six and 10 hooded suspects, wearing masks and gloves, threatened the victim with knives on Tuesday, according to South Yorkshire Police.
The incident took place on a patch of grass next to a public phone box on Washington Road, close to Sharrow Lane, police said.
The man was left with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the attack, is asked to contact police.
Five people have been arrested over a suspected arson attack which gutted a mill in West Yorkshire, police say.
A huge blaze engulfed the historic Dalton Mills complex in Keighley, West Yorkshire, on Thursday.
No-one was inside the building, in Dalton Lane, at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
At the height of the blaze, which started at about midday, 120 firefighters were at the scene.
Two fire crews remained for damping down on Friday morning, with about 10 firefighters continuing to throw water on the site to prevent the fire from re-igniting.
The mill had been used for a number of film and television productions in recent years including Peaky Blinders and Downton Abbey.
The building, built in 1869, was once the largest textile mill in Yorkshire, employing more than 2,000 workers.
Jack Mallinson, 25, who volunteered with West Yorkshire Police, will be sentenced on 30 March.

A former York postman who lives in Ukraine is trying to escape the country's war-torn second city of Kharkiv.
John Darvill lives in the city with his wife Yulia and her family.
Earlier this week Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of war crimes after it launched air strikes on Kharkiv.
Mr Darvill and his wife have been trapped in a village nearby, running out of food and with no electric.
His family back in England say he and his Ukranian loved ones are now making the long journey to the Polish border.
His daughter Ruby told BBC Radio York: "My dad's trying to keep a brave face on just to try to reassure everybody, but he started crying on the phone the other day, it was awful to hear.
"I've been ringing him up to five times a day, just to keep checking in on how he is, the connection's been that bad though we keep losing contact. We just hope they can get to Poland."
Ten people were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, Cranswick Country Foods say.
