Students queued around the block at Loughborough University to get their hands on some of the honey the campus bees have made.
The university has nine beehives that are looked after by staff and student volunteers.
The aim is to help save the insects, which are threatened by climate change and pesticides, and to study them.
But as a bonus they also collect any excess honey, called Loughborough Gold, to sell off once a year in what has become something of a university tradition.
