A family had a lucky escape after their house was damaged in a suspected arson attack.
Emergency services were called to Esther Varney Place, in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, on Saturday morning, following a report a fire had started outside a house.
Abbey-Katie Miller, who lives at the house with her partner and one-year-old son, said she had started to struggle with her breathing while in bed at about 05:30.
"We rushed downstairs and as soon as my partner opened the kitchen door the window shattered," she said.
"Everything is trashed."
Ms Miller said she has no idea why the house was targeted and speculated it could have started after something was thrown into the garden.
The family has been forced to stay in a hotel and friends, family and neighbours have been raising money to replace the things they lost.
"The community has come together," she said. "It's been really good. People want to send us things."
Det Sgt Luke Todd said: "We are appealing for anyone to come forward as we believe the fire may have been started deliberately.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious."

Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan has left the band to focus on "getting his life back on track", a statement on behalf of the group says.
The singer had performed alongside fellow Leicester musicians guitarist Sergio Pizzorno and bassist Chris Edwards since 1997.

A statement released by the band said Meighan's decision to leave Kasabian was by "mutual consent".
It added: "Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behaviour for quite some time and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track."
Meighan has thanked fans for their "love and support".

The director of Nottingham's Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall has welcomed a £1.57bn support package to help protect the future of the UK's cultural venues.
The money follows several weeks of pressure, with industry leaders warning that theatres, galleries and museums were on the brink of collapse.
Jonathan Saville said the rescue package is welcome, but he is worried about how long it will be before theatres can get back to the way they were before lockdown.
"I suspect we'll be open sometime in the next six months but I don't think the audiences will come back straight away," he said.
"They'll be coming back at a gradual pace, maybe playing 60 to 70 per cent initially and that will build up over a couple years back to the 100% level that we need to hit like before.
"It's going to be difficult."
Meanwhile, Nottingham Playhouse artistic director Adam Penford said: "The devil's in the detail and we await further information, including how it will be distributed, which will be key to its success."

A stallion needed the help of the RSPCA after getting stuck on a gate in Loughborough while trying to get to mares on the other side.
A member of the public spotted the horse with the front of his body on one side of the gate and his back legs on the other at a paddock off Empress Road.
RSPCA officer Jack Curran, who was called to the field on 24 June, said: “The horse had tried to get over the gate and got stuck in this position.
"The caller reported that he had some bloody cuts and appeared exhausted from trying to get over the gate.
“Thankfully, when I arrived, I was able to track down his owner from our own local contacts and he came down to the field to help."
The horse had not suffered any serious harm and was led back to his own field, he added.
It will be rather windy today with sunny spells, but with a few scattered showers at times.
It will become largely dry later and this should remain into the evening where we should see late sunny spells.
