Campaigners opposing a 24-hour waste plant in Lincoln have organised a public meeting for Monday.
The scheme has been put forward to Lincolnshire County Council by waste firm Veolia who want to expand the site on Long Leys Road.
More than 300 people have so far objected to the plan.
Veolia has not commented.

Councillors have approved the recommendations to close three toilets and partly close two others in North East Lincolnshire.
St Peters Avenue in Cleethorpes (pictured), Boating Lake in Cleethorpes and Garibaldi Street in Grimsby will close.
Charges introduced earlier this year have failed to raise the money needed to keep all the public toilets open.

Gary Porter the leader of South Holland District Council has criticised the chancellor for making no announcement in the Autumn Statement on adult social care.
Conservative Councillor Porter's also the chairman of the Local Government Association, which speaks for councils across the country.
He's told the BBC that key services will suffer as councils try to "plug the gap" in social care budgets - a problem that's not been addressed by the Philip Hammond this afternoon.

Councils and businesses across Lincolnshire are to get a share of £540m worth of extra investment from the government.
The Local Enterprise Partnership for Greater Lincolnshire - the so-called LEP - will spend the money on schemes to boost the economy.
The announcement's come as part of the Chancellor Philip Hammond's Autumn Statement.

North Yorkshire Police say they will be reporting an incident with a flare at Lincoln City's away match at York last night to the UK Football Policing Unit (UKFPU).
The referral to the unit - which was set up by the Home Office to crack down on football violence - could have consequences for the Imps, including a fine.

You're being asked to stay away from hospitals in north Lincolnshire today after an outbreak of a sickness bug.
There is an outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting on four wards at Scunthorpe and Grimsby hospitals.
Spokesman Maurice Madeo said: “The infection prevention and control team is monitoring the situation and it is hoped to re-open the closed areas as soon as possible.”

The county council's health watchdog has voted to refer the continued overnight closures of Grantham Hospital's A&E to the secretary of state, Jeremy Hunt.
As Lincolnshire's hospital trust put forward their case to the health scrutiny committee in Lincoln, protestors gathered outside.
It was a tense meeting as hospital managers faced some hostile questions from local representatives.
Protesters from the Fighting For Grantham Hospital group say they suspect the closure is part of a plan to "downgrade" the town's health services.
