    Boston Borough Council has come under fire for a lack of Christmas lights in the town.

    This is what the town centre looks like at the moment:

    The authority's Christmas lights contract came to an end this year and at full council they voted not to include it in their budget.

    Over the past five years festive illuminations have cost £147,000 and the council say they simply can't afford it.

    Grantham's most famous daughter, former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, has topped Radio 4's Woman's Hour's annual Power List.

    It celebrates seven women who've made the biggest impact on women's lives over the past 70 years.

    Also making the cut was feminist Germaine Greer, the singer Beyonce and even fictional character Bridget Jones.

    We've got slow traffic on Hykeham Road in Bracebridge Heath this morning because a traffic light has stopped working. 

    It's at the Gregg Hall Drive junction which happens to be near some roadworks which isn't helping matters.

    A decision to close Grimsby ice rink could be made next week.

    North East Lincolnshire Council's cabinet will meet and its recommendation is for the ice rink at Grimsby Leisure Centre to close because it's too expensive to run.

    Nottingham Forest are the latest club to be linked with a move for Grimsby Town striker Omar Bogle (pictured). 

    His 16 goals this season make him League Two's top scorer, which is as many as he managed in all competitions last season, following his move from Solihull Moors. 

    Leeds and Wigan are other Championship clubs being linked with him. 

    In the summer, Grimsby were reported to have turned down a quarter of a million pounds for him.

    We told you earlier that a broken down lorry had closed the A52 Barrowby Road in Grantham near the Barrowby Gate junction.

    Well it has now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.

    NHS Trusts in England, including Lincolnshire's, are being criticised for not learning lessons from avoidable deaths of patients.

    The Care Quality Commission says none of the trusts are properly investigating the causes and too often grieving families are shut out of investigations.

    The report is after a one-year inquiry and the government is expected to accept all the recommendations.
