Staff at Ruddocks of Lincoln, a shop which has been on the High Street for 163 years, say they're "gutted" that it's going to close.

Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen an assault in which a man lost his eye.

Police say a 30-year-old man lost an eye after being glassed at the Marine boathouse pub on Lumley Road on 25 February.

He was treated at Boston's Pilgrim Hospital but his eye couldn't be saved.

We've already heard about PD Phantom sniffing out £12,000 in cash, well he wasn't satisfied with giving up without sniffing out some illegal substances.

He was successful on Wednesday, he sniffed out cannabis and amphetamines at two properties in Cleethorpes.

Cannabis was found at an address on Fuller Street.

Amphetamines and cannabis were also found at two houses on Grafton Street.

Two women and a man were interviewed in connection with the operation over the last week.

Ruddocks of Lincoln - a mainstay of Lincoln's high street for 163 years - is set to close.

The stationery shop has been in its current location (pictured) for 113 years. 

It had been further up Lincoln's high street for 50 years before that.

In a statement, owner Henry Ruddock, says that the upstairs tea room and the design and print business will not be affected.

A convicted robber has been imprisoned for four years after setting fire to his cell at a Lincolnshire immigration centre.

Patrick Kiyama, 27, set fire to his pillow, bedding and a bin whilst at Morton Hall Immigration centre near Gainsborough.

He had been sentenced to 13 months in prison for a street robbery in Milton Keynes.

The court heard that he was frustrated that he hadn't been deported to his native Congo.

King's Lynn Town, external have signed midfielder Kegan Everington on loan from Lincoln City until the end of the season. 

The 21-year-old has spent much of this season on loan at Buxton and hasn't played a first team game for the FA Cup giant-killing Imps since last March.

Everington is first new player brought to the club by Ian Culverhouse since he took over as manager last week.  

He takes charge of a home game for the first time tomorrow when The Linnets play Stratford Town at The Walks. 

A dashcam captured a Vauxhall Corsa which went on to crash into a level crossing being pursued by a police car.

Thousands of pounds worth of suspected drugs money has been sniffed out by a police dog in Grimsby.

Phantom (pictured) sniffed out the cash at the property on Rowston street in Cleethorpes.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the production of class B drugs, possessing criminal property and possession of a weapon.

Trading standards officers say tip-offs from the community helped lead to 143,000 fake cigarettes being seized between April and December last year.

They say they are getting better at working together with HMRC to discover those selling black market cigarettes.

But they admit that even though more are being confiscated, there are more coming into the country and there is a "ready market".

A stuffed fox, which has gone missing from the Metheringham Airfield museum , took part in the D-Day raids according to staff at the museum.

The museum say Flight Sgt William Hovey, who was a navigator in 106 Squadron at RAF Metheringham, donated Mr Fox to the museum a few years ago.

Flight Sgt Hovey completed 36 operations, so it seems the mascot was lucky indeed:

The BBC has received this footage from a dash-cam which caught the scene just moments before a  "suspected stolen car" crashed into a railway level crossing at Langworth .

The car smashed into the barriers on Thursday after failing to stop for police and the driver was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

An 18-year-old man, and two women, aged 18 and 19, said to be passengers in the car, were arrested.
