    It seems that all the warnings from the police, national press, and on the radio have been ignored.

    Lincolnshire Police say that some drivers have been caught using their phones at the wheel on the county's roads.

    Lincolnshire Police's Inspector Mark Garthwaite has told me that people have been caught after new rules came into place today.

    From today, if you're caught using a mobile whilst driving, the penalty will have doubled.

    Lincolnshire's biggest egg producer says it may be "too soon" for the relaxation of Bird Flu restrictions.

    From today, some poultry owners in the county are allowed to let their birds out, but many farms in Lincolnshire are still in so called "high risk zones".

    Lincolnshire police say they'll be carrying out random checks to make sure drivers don't use a village as a "rat-run".

    Those found driving through the village of Harmston - near Waddington - without a legitimate reason will be committing an offence.

    They say that the village is being used as a "rat-run" to avoid traffic lights at the crossroads with the A606, Grantham Rd.

    This breaches  "no entry except for access signs" placed at the entrances to the village and could lead to a fine:

    The organisers of Lincoln's new Park & Ride service say it's gotten off to a "good start".

    Matt Corrigan, the scheme's organiser, says over 300 people have used it since it began last week.

    The first park & ride bus only had a couple of passengers but the organisers say they have enough funding to keep it going until it picks up.Last week we were there for the first passengers to use the bus:

    The health service in Northern Lincolnshire is looking for the family of a man who died in Grimsby recently.

    74-year-old Eric Diffey passed away at the Princess of Diana Hospital in Grimsby (pictured) on February 11.

    He lived on Beeley Road in the town, the Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation trust want family members to get in touch here, external .

    It seems Lincoln City striker Matt Rhead has been trying his best to impress his his former colleagues at the JCB factory in Stoke:

    He returned back to the place he worked at for ten years with a hero's welcome after the Imps' success in the FA Cup.

    The visit comes ahead of the quarter final of the Fa Cup this weekend; Lincoln City Vs Arsenal.

    I told you earlier about Councillor John Money who's been spending his day helping out your bin men .

    He says that so far, he's raised over £7,000 for St Barnabas Hospice Lincoln.

    It's hoped Lincoln's first ever street food festival will tempt more shoppers into the city centre later this month.

    The event's being organised by Lincoln BIG, the group paid for by traders to promote business.

    Three companies have qualified for the chance to bid to run the East Midlands rail franchise, the Department for Transport has announced.

    Arriva Rail East Midlands, First Trenitalia East Midlands Rail and Stagecoach East Midlands Trains are the three companies looking to run the services from November 2018. 

    Each company will soon be invited to bid and they will then be assessed for what passenger benefits they offer and whether they represent value for money.
