    Lincolnshire Police are continuing to search for a 23-year-old man wanted in connection with an investigation into a burglary.

    Adam Hughes is being sought in connection with the burglary at Holbeach Drove, near Spalding, on 15 March.

    Anyone with information about his whereabouts is being asked to contact police.

    More now on the crash northbound on the A16 in Algarkirk we mentioned a little earlier.

    It's now expected that the stretch of road between the A17 junction and the B1397 Station Road junction will be closed until the afternoon peak. 

    The surrounding roads are getting busy as a result, so you might want to change your travel plans.

    The FA Cup fairy tale may have ended for Lincoln City , but a Lincolnshire five-a-side disability football team is through to the finals of the FA People's Cup, external .

    Both the A side and B side of Gainsborough's Midtown United have made it to the end of the amateur competition in their respective divisions.

    The finals are due to be held at the end of the month.  

    Player-manager Kieran Robson says he believes they could both go all the way:

  6. Motorbiker dies after crashpublished at 10:26 British Summer Time 3 April 2017

    A 56-year-old Horncastle man has died after being involved in a crash with two cars.

    It happened at about 17:15 on Friday evening on an unclassified road between Waddingworth and Bardney.

    The incident involved a silver Honda motorbike, a silver Ford Ranger and a silver Skoda. 

    Anyone with any information is being asked to contact police.

  7. Rise in reports of children meeting paedophiles in Lincolnshire published at 10:00 British Summer Time 3 April 2017

    There've been over 50 reports of child abusers grooming then meeting children in Lincolnshire in the past five years, according to children's charity the NSPCC.

    Today, long-awaited new powers to tackle paedophiles who target children through social media or mobile phones have taken effect.

    This means police will be able to arrest anyone who sends a sexual message to a child, and they can intervene before physical abuse takes place.

  9. Cash boost for East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire coastal communities published at 09:20 British Summer Time 3 April 2017

    Hornsea, Cleethorpes, Hull and the area near Spurn Point are to get about £9m worth of investment to help boost the local economy.

    The cash comes from the government's Coastal Communities Fund, with Cleethorpes and Hornsea getting the lion's share to help bring more tourists into the resorts.

    It is hoped the investment will create jobs and help our seaside towns become year-round destinations.

    It was a big weekend for the county's runners, with the Lincoln 10K returning for another year.

  11. Traffic and travel: Spalding Bridge roadworkspublished at 08:41 British Summer Time 3 April 2017

    Just a quick reminder that Wisbech Road Bridge is shut from today until next Friday while essential works are carried out. 

    Traffic will be diverted via Low Road, Queen's Road, Holbeach Road, the A151 and the A16.

    You might want to change your plans accordingly.
