    We've just been speaking to Lincolnshire's Police and Crime Commissioner Marc Jones - he says the force has just ordered a new drone to help in the fight against crime.

    Mr Jones says Lincolnshire Police rarely gets to use the region's police helicopter, so a drone would be more "agile" and easier to deploy.

    The bill will be £15,000 but Mr Jones says the equipment will be invaluable when searching for missing people and for tackling rural crime like hare coursing gangs.

    You might remember yesterday we were telling you about major problems on the A17 near Brant Broughton after a lorry shed its load.

    Well, as the pictures below show - a local farmer stepped in to get traffic moving again with his fork lift truck.

    The pictures were tweeted by the farmer himself - Andrew Ward. It's not the first time he's stepped in to help others.

    He's behind the successful Forage Aid charity which sends animal feed to farmers affected by extreme weather and flooding across the country.

    A motorcyclist has died following a collision on the A18 near Louth yesterday.

    Emergency services were called to the scene at Barton Street, near Ludborough at 16.45 after a blue Suzuki motorbike collided with a Renault Clio.

    The rider of the bike, a man in his 40s from the Grimsby area, was taken to hospital in Grimsby where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

    Police say the road was reopened at about 22.00. There's an appeal for witnesses.

    We've heard from Lincolnshire Police about two vehicle fires on the A46 this evening.

    One is on the northbound dual carriageway stretch between the Carholme and Riseholme roundabouts.

    There's on the A46 close to Nettleham roundabout.

    The road is closed completely and you're being advised to avoid the area if possible.

    Last year Scunthorpe United headed out to Austria for a training camp - and the club's just confirmed they will do the same again.

    The players and staff will base themselves in Obertraun, south-west of Salzburg for a week from Saturday 15 July.

    The Iron also have pre-season matches lines up against York City at Bootham Crescent on Wednesday, 12 July, and will take a trip to Kenilworth Road to play Luton Town won Saturday, 29 July.

    Lincolnshire Police says it has had more than 300 requests for application packs for police recruitment since it was launched yesterday.

    This time around the force has lifted the requirement that applicants must come from Lincolnshire.

    According to the latest figures released by the force 327 requests have been received in total with 52 (or 16%) coming from outside the county.

    A body of an unidentified man has been found in the River Trent, external in Lincolnshire. Police were called at 11:27 yesterday after a body was found ashore near Keadby Lock at Burringham, near Scunthorpe.

    A number of beach front businesses on the Lincolnshire coast have been targeted by thieves.

    Police say burglars broke into a bar, a chip shop and a diner on Sea Lane Extension in Ingoldmells in the early hours of Monday. Money and food were stolen.

    Witnesses are being sought and anyone with any information is being asked to contact the police on 101.
