    The intake of new and returning MPs for Lincolnshire head to London today.

    On their first day in parliament they'll be voting for a House of Commons speaker, before they're officially sworn in in the next few days.

    Now in case you're not sure here's the list of MPs in Lincolnshire:

    • Boston and Skegness - Matt Warman (Conservative)
    • Gainsborough - Sir Edward Leigh (Conservative)
    • Grantham and Stamford - Nick Boles (Conservative)
    • Lincoln - Karen Lee (Labour)
    • Louth and Horncastle - Victoria Atkins (Conservative)
    • Sleaford and North Hykeham - Dr Caroline Johnson (Conservative)
    • South Holland and The Deepings - John Hayes (Conservative)

    Other than Labour's Karen Lee they are all returning having secured their seats in last Thursday's election.

    The boss of the East Midlands Ambulance Service, which provides services in Lincolnshire, has responded to a report which says it still requires improvement, external.

    Richard Henderson says the report found significant improvements but the trust still has a long way to go.

  3. Man jailed for charity box theftpublished at 10:42 British Summer Time 13 June 2017

    A man has been sentenced to 12 weeks in prison for after pleading guilty to stealing a charity box from Myers Bakery last month.

    Alexander Carne Hewitt, of no fixed abode, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' court on Monday.

    The 60-year-old was also linked to a number of offences of the same nature going back to 2015.

    Bassingham racing driver Jack Harvey says he's hopeful of racing in IndyCar again this season.

    Harvey competed in the Indy 500 for Andretti Autosport team and he says that plans are afoot for the future.

  5. Patients worried about Lincoln walk-in centre's futurepublished at 09:52 British Summer Time 13 June 2017

    Some patients who use an NHS walk-in centre in Lincoln say they're disappointed that it could close.

    Health managers have started an eight-week consultation period on the future of the centre, external on Monks Road.

    The Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group says 95% of people who go there don't need treatment or only need minor treatment, and they could be treated by their GP or by calling NHS 111 instead.

    But patients say it's hard to get a GP appointment and being able to see a health professional immediately for non-emergency care is important.

  6. Family pays tribute to teenage son killed in crashpublished at 09:30 British Summer Time 13 June 2017

    The family of Josh Davies, who died in a car crash in Grantham have released a tribute to him, external.

    Josh, who was a passenger in the car, died on Sunday 11 June following the crash, which killed driver Shaun Durham at the scene, late on Thursday 8 June.

    The ambulance service in Lincolnshire is still failing to meet safety and response targets, according to inspectors.

    It's the second year in a row that the East Midlands Ambulance Service, external has been given a 'requires improvement' , externalrating by the Care Quality Commission.

    However, the CQC says it no longer has concerns about safety, and says some outstanding work is being done by the trust.

  8. Controversial housing development in Lincoln plans withdrawnpublished at 08:42 British Summer Time 13 June 2017

    An application to build up to 180 homes near Lincoln has been withdrawn.

    They would have been built on land at the agricultural college at Riseholme.

    The University of Lincoln, which owns the land, had included plans for new homes as part of a wider redevelopment scheme.

    It's written to the parish council saying it will review further options for the entire campus.

    Lincoln's NHS walk in centre could be closed with alternative care being offered at GP surgeries and online.

    Health mangers have launched a consultation. They say 95% of people who use the Lincoln Walk in Centre on Monks Road require no investigation or treatment.

    If you happen to be minding your own business but look up and suddenly wonder if you've time travelled back to the 1950s - don't worry, you (probably) haven't.

    A vintage coach used in the Shetland Isles from 1950 until 1979 is due to travel through Lincolnshire as part of a 1,000-mile journey home.

    The 1950s Bedford coach was bought by Nick Taylor in 2011, and he completed its restoration at his home at Weybread in Suffolk.

    A visit from its Shetland-based former driver in 2013 persuaded Mr Taylor the coach belonged back on the island.

    The Bedford, which has a top speed of 40mph, will be driven to the Shetland Isles via Lincolnshire and the Lake District and is due to set off on its journey today.

    A couple who've renovated a stately garden in the Lincolnshire wolds say it's proving a hit with the public.

    The garden - which used to be attached to a country manor near Horncastle - had 40ft brambles before the Elton family started work.
