    A market trader who was caught selling fake clothing on the Lincolnshire coast has been jailed for 18 months.

    A raid at Eastgate Market in Ingoldmells found more than 1,000 counterfeit items.

    29-year-old Roshan Singh from Lincoln Road in Skegness had denied 12 charges including the unauthorised use of a trademark.

    Seven crewmen who died on board a Grimsby fishing trawler in World War One, while it was working to clear German mines, have been remembered in a service at sea.

    The trawler, Alberta, was discovered by the Shipwrecks of the River Humber research team, who are locating all 375 vessels that were lost.

    After a plaque for the crew members was placed on the wreck, a service of remembrance was held above it.

  3. Plans revealed for new Ambulance, Fire and Police Station in Lincolnpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 17 July 2017

    More than 400 emergency services staff will be housed at the new tri- service station, located on the site of the existing fire and ambulance station on South Park Avenue, Lincoln.

    The building will be home to ambulance crews covering the Lincoln area, Lincoln South’s firefighters and police officers and staff, currently located at West Parade.

    As part of the development, the existing fire training tower and workshops will be retained and refurbished to create additional operational space.

    If approved by Lincolnshire County Council’s planning committee, enabling works on site will start in October 2017, with full construction starting early 2018.

    The plans are being welcomed by the managers of all three organisations involved.

    A 16-year-old from Grimsby's been charged in connection with an assault at the Trivoli Tavern last week.

    A 35-year-old man sustained serious injuries.

    The teenager's been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on 13 July 2017.

    An inquest has heard that an 18-year-old farm worker was trying to clear dirt and debris from a trailer when he was fatally electrocuted.

    Jackson Maplethorpe from Billinghay was working on his family's farm last November, when he raised the trailer into overhead power lines.

    The inquest at Lincoln Cathedral Centre continues.

    A former fire fighter from Boston, who broke his neck last year on his stag do, finally tied the knot this weekend.

    James Thorpe was paralysed from the chest-down in a freak accident last summer - and his wedding had to be postponed.

    He managed to stand for the ceremony on Friday, as well as having a first dance with his new wife Michaela.

    Police want to speak to this man in connection with an indecent act in Lincoln.

    Officers have been made aware of a report that a man was seen carrying out an indecent act outside the Waterside Shopping Centre last week after a video was circulated on social media.

    Campaigners have been fighting to try and keep it open.

    The consultation was extended because of the election.

    Police stopped a man who was riding this lawnmower along the A1031 towards Marshchapel in the early hours of yesterday morning.

    The 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of theft and going equipped for burglary.

    He was later released under investigation.

    Problems finding staff are being partly blamed for millions of pounds being spent on supply teachers in Lincolnshire.

    Local authority-run schools - not including academies - have spent £10m on supply teachers and support staff over the past three years.

    The NUT says many are being put off by the workload and salaries on offer.

    Chris Rolfe, a principal lecturer in education at Nottingham Trent University and who used to be a headteacher here in Lincolnshire, says "there's one academy trust in the county who are advertising 31 vacancies".
