    A man with a knife has been arrested in connection with a number of robberies, external in the Freeman Street area of Grimsby.

    The 26-year-old man of no fixed abode remains in police custody.

    He'll appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court today charged with robbery, theft and possessing a knife.

    A woman known only as Lily was found in the car park of Louth Hospital in the early hours of this morning.

    She's described as around 5ft 7ins, with grey hair wearing black trousers a grey striped shirt and a blue jumper.

    Officers think she's aged around 80 and was confused when found.

    Police say she is currently being cared for at the hospital. If you know her call the police on 101.

    It's thought the weaker pound and the Brexit effect are leading to more exports for companies in East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.

    New national figures show export orders from across the UK rose last month at the fastest pace since April 2010, and at the second highest rate since the survey began.

    It's partly being put down to a weaker pound.

    Cartwright and Butler in Gilberdyke have seen a 100% increase in exports which is partly due to increased demand in South East Asia for their biscuits, chutneys and condiments (pictured).

    An application for nearly 300 new houses in Louth will be decided on today.

    East Lindsey District Council planners have recommended that plans for the 13-hectare site off Legbourne Road (below) are approved.

    Louth Town Council and some residents have objected, but developer Cyden Homes says there have been no official objections relating to flooding or landscape impact.

    It says it will make large financial contributions to meet demand on school places and healthcare.

    Reaction has been coming in to the news that Grimsby's ice rink has been saved from closure.

    Campaigners are celebrating this afternoon after they were given permission to take over the running of the rink.

    North East Lincolnshire Council had planned to close it because they said it was too expensive for them to run.

    Police are searching Chapel St Leonards for a nine-year-old boy who's gone missing.

    Branden Carson left his home address in Chapel St Leonards at about midday.

    He was wearing a red t-shirt, red shorts and white trainers. He has brown hair and may have a white scooter with him.

    Officers are appealing for any information on where Branden may be.

    An area of Lincoln which was badly hit by a so-called graffiti "tagger" has fallen victim once again, according to a local councillor.

    Councillor Biff Bean represents the Hartsholme area of the city and says a new campaign of graffiti is being waged by someone using the word "juice".

    It follows a major police operation after a vandal continually sprayed the word "shrimp" around the area.

    Councillor Bean says anybody with information about who's responsible should report it to the city council as soon as possible.

    Lincolnshire's hospitals are facing a £40m bill to improve fire safety.

    United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust says it's applied for government funding after two enforcement notices were issued for Lincoln County Hospital and Boston Pilgrim Hospital.

    Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue carried out inspections at both sites after major fires - including a blaze at the Pilgrim Hospital last March (pictured) which led to patients being evacuated from the site.
