  1. Calls for 'upskirting' to be made specific offencepublished at 08:43 British Summer Time 11 August 2017

    Harry Parkhill
    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

If someone were to take a photo up a woman's skirt without them knowing, you'd think that there'd be a law to deal with them.

    It turns out there isn't.

    gniamartinImage source, Instagram/GinaMartin

Gina Martin (pictured) was at a music festival earlier this year when it happened to her.

But despite the police being helpful and supportive, she says they were unable to prosecute the perpetrators and had to close the case.

She is campaigning to have the offence codified into law.

    Quote Message

I want those men to be prosecuted because that's a horrible thing to happen and it happens way too often. It's quite a grey area 'upskirting', so I'm hoping to raise awareness and get the laws codified so that hopefully this would be under the sexual offences act.

    Gina Martin, Victim and Campaigner

Lincolnshire's Police and Crime Commissioner, Marc Jones, has joined the campaign.

He says the law should be brought into line with "what we expect" to protect women and girls from this kind of behaviour:

    Quote Message

This particular act needs to be put in as a sexual offence, because it's quite clearly an invasion of privacy, they're quite clearly doing it for sexual gratification... it would provide the courts with the ability if somebody is prosecuted to put certain things in place to protect the public."

    Louth meeting

The meeting last night was part of a public consultation. Councillors are considering either moving, scrapping or revamping the site.

But some are worried a decision's already been made.

    Quote Message

The next few weeks is very much about feeding into a process that has only just begun. So no decision has been made, the next big decision will be at council in October so there's plenty of opportunity for people to feed in their thoughts which will help the council form a view."

  17. Gainsborough Trinity manager 'fuming' after 4-3 defeatpublished at 11:02 British Summer Time 10 August 2017

    Rob Makepeace
    BBC Radio Lincolnshire sport

Gainsborough Trinity were on the wrong end of a seven goal thriller in National League North last night as they lost 4-3 at Darlington.

    Darlington

Ashley Worsfold gave Trinity the lead before Darlington went 3-1 in front just after half-time.

However goals from Ioan Evans and Nathan Jarman looked to have saved a point for the Blues before the home side hit a later winner.

Manager Dave Frecklington is not a happy man...

    Quote Message

I'm embarrassed to be honest. Embarrassed to put my name to that second half performance. Fuming. Absolutely embarrassing defending.

    Dave Frecklington, Manager

  18. Council and BT in row over CCTV coveragepublished at 10:33 British Summer Time 10 August 2017

    Scott Dalton
    Presenter, BBC Radio Lincolnshire

East Lindsey District Council has accused BT of delaying the use of the area's new CCTV system.

    CCTVImage source, Getty Images

The council has spent more than £400,000 to replace its current analogue system with digital cameras.

However they can't be used until BT has installed a digital network to support them.

BT has apologised for the delay - saying that engineering turned out to be more complicated than expected.

It also said that they are unable to complete the work at the moment because of restrictions on roadworks during the holiday season.

The council's deputy leader, Graham Marsh, says they should have done the work earlier:

    Quote Message

I expected nothing less from BT than to try and blame someone else but if they say that the county council is reluctant to give them permits to dig the roads in the summer holidays then fine I understand that. Why didn't they do it between last October and this March?

Graham Marsh, East Lindsey District Council Deputy Leader
