It's not often you get the chance to buy a watch worn by someone who's scaled the tallest mountain in the world and who's saved lives after a major earthquake.

Now's your chance, if you have a few thousand pounds kicking around.

The watch (pictured, worn by a bagpipe-toting sherpa on Everest), was hand-made by Stamford-based jewellers Robert Loomes and was given to the Nepalese army to celebrate its 200th anniversary.

The watch was worn by a member of the army who was later called in to help rescue people caught up in the aftermath of the Nepal earthquake in April 2015.

It eventually also made it to the top of Mount Everest.

The timepiece is now being auctioned off to raise money for the Mountain Trust, which helps with medicine and education in Nepal.

Normally the watches cost £4,000 but auction organisers hope the price for this special one will reach the heights, with a target of about £20,000.

The NHS trust which runs hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole says it works tirelessly to keep its online systems secure.

It comes as a government report says the cyber attacks which affected more than a third of NHS trusts earlier this year could have been prevented if up-to-date IT security measures had been in place.

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust was affected by a ransomware attack twice in six months.

Three vehicles have been involved in a car crash in Lincoln.

The crash is causing problems between Carholme Road Roundabout and Riseholme Road Roundabout.

Drivers are being warned to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.

Campaigners say it's "not acceptable" that about 10,500 properties in Lincolnshire won't get fibre broadband because they're "too rural".

The county council says an extra 14,000 homes and businesses in Lincolnshire will have superfast internet by 2019.

Engineers have begun installing fibre broadband in Maltby le Marsh in Mablethorpe today as part of a rolling installation programme

However, others may have to wait for a different kind of connection because they're too remote.

An 81-year-old man from Grantham has lost £10,000 in a scam after someone contacted him claiming to work for a police fraud office.

The man was told on the phone that his local bank branch was being investigated and he had to go to withdraw the money.

When he returned home from the bank, a courier came and took the money from him.

Police say the man has been "devastated" by the crime which officers describe as a "cruel" scam:

Hundreds of youngsters in Boston have written poems describing how Christmas makes them feel.

It's part of a competition to turn on the town's Christmas Lights this year, with the winning young poets getting the honour.

A community group is arranging festive decorations in the town this year, after Boston Borough Council's efforts last year were described as "dismal" and the authority was called "a bunch of scrooges".

A cancer patient from Lincolnshire says she was forced to miss treatment because of a cyber attack on the NHS.

Earlier we heard that May's attack was preventable, but the NHS hadn't followed the government's advice, according to a new report by the National Audit Office.

The NHS says the attack was unprecedented, but admitted lessons could be learned.

Clare Hobday, from Gainsborough (pictured), had her radiotherapy treatment disrupted as a result of the hacking, while hundreds of other appointments and surgeries in Lincolnshire were also cancelled.

Ms Hobday says she had to wait an extra four days for her appointment at Lincoln County Hospital:

A new film starring Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy (pictured left and middle) will help to raise awareness about polio, a survivor of the disease from Lincoln says.

The film, Breathe, directed by Andy Serkis (right), who played Gollum in the Lord of the Rings films, tells the story of Robin Cavendish, who became a campaigner on disabled rights after contracting polio.

David Mitchell, from Lincoln, who's recently been elected as a director of the European Polio Union, says Breathe should shed light on the disease.

He says it's "emotional and an absolutely magnificent film" and it's already doing great work to raise awareness:

A 20-year-old motorcyclist has been seriously injured after the bike he was riding was involved in a collision with a car in Boston.

The accident happened on the Junction between the B1183 and Willows Lane in Frithville.

The motorcyclist has been airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, external.

It's emerged that a phone call from Grimsby may have tipped-off a local newspaper just minutes before President John F Kennedy was murdered in 1963.

The details of the call to the Cambridge News have come to light in a batch of declassified documents about the assassination.

The chief reporter at the Cambridge News says no one now working at the paper knew the exchange had happened, until it was discovered in the CIA files.

Ambulances and Police are on the scene at a road traffic accident on Frithville Road near Boston.

The road has been closed.

New signs have gone up near to the Humber Bridge, to try and reduce the number of 'near misses.'

A report by the Humber Bridge Board said there had been more than 100 incidents of unsafe driving, including people doing U-turns or reversing out of wrong lanes in five months.

Residents who live near the proposed site of an animal by-products processing plant say they're shocked the factory could be built in the area.

People in Norton Disney, near Newark, say they're concerned that, based on similar previous plants, it will "smell and attract flies".

Becky Pinfold, the owner of a nearby pub, says she's concerned it'll put customers off.

However, Lincoln Proteins, the company behind the proposed factory, which will replace a site in Skellingthorpe, near Lincoln, says there will be "no odour from the plant".

It says it's consulting with members of the public and hasn't yet submitted a planning application for the plant which, it says, will bring £10m to the local economy and will mean about 120 jobs.

Solutions to Sleaford's traffic problems will be dealt with, according to the town's MP.

Dr Caroline Johnson, MP for Sleaford and North Hykeham, admits there are traffic issues in the town and says planned investment at the Holdingham roundabout (pictured) will be made "in the next year or so".

Traffic in the one-way system in the the town centre is also being "looked at", according to Dr Johnson.

Lincolnshire's Poppy Appeal is being launched today at Doddington Hall, near Lincoln.

Last year, the appeal raised just over £926,000 here in Lincolnshire.

There are about 3,000 poppy sellers in the county.

The future of a major development in North Lincolnshire which would include a new stadium for Scunthorpe United is uncertain.

Club chairman Peter Swann has told BBC Radio Humberside the club will not now be relocating to the Lincolnshire Lakes development and is now planning to improve the existing Glanford Park stadium.

In April 2015, the club's plans for a new 12,000-seater football stadium on a 23-hectare site at the Lincolnshire Lakes development were approved.

Peter Swann said: "It's pretty clear that the council has gone cold on Lincolnshire Lakes. We have been completely left out in the cold."

Responding, the leader of North Lincolnshire Council, Rob Waltham, said the door is still open for a new stadium at the site and it's up to Scunthorpe United to move the plans forward.

A warrant has been issued for a man wanted for fraud and for not attending court.
