    Martin Slack
    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

So that's it from me and the team in Lincoln for today - I'm off to hide from the trick or treaters who will be out and about this evening.

We'll be back tomorrow from 08.00 with all the latest updates from across Lincolnshire, but breaking news and sport will continue to appear right here during the night.

Just before I head off into the Halloween night, there's time to look back at five things we've discovered today:

    Bye for now!

  4. Cancer services changes blamed on staff shortagespublished at 17:27 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Vicky Johnson
    BBC Look North

Some cancer patients in North East Lincolnshire will have to travel to Hull for treatment after a decision made this afternoon by the trust which runs hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole.

    Grimsby Hospital

The Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust says staff shortages means moving complex chemotherapy work to Castle Hill in Hull will help to provide a safe service.

The changes are expected to affect about 70 patients every year, the trust says.

The arrangement is initially temporary but, subject to public consultation, could be made permanent, it adds.

    Quote Message

We have long-established links with Castle Hill and our aim is to ensure local cancer patients receive the quality care they need. This change to the service will affect patients receiving haematological care from the trust, but it will mean their more complex care needs will be met at a centre of excellence."

Dr Stuart Baugh, Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust

  5. Traffic and travel: Broken down vehicles cause bypass jamspublished at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    BBC News Travel

  6. 'Ice' way to raise cash for Lincoln park's restorationpublished at 16:58 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

Earlier this year it was announced that an ice rink which had been a festive fixture in Lincoln city centre over the past few Christmases wouldn't be returning this year.

But there'll now be a chance to get out those skates anyway - this time in one of the city's parks. And it's all to raise money for its restoration.

Boultham Park (pictured), which is owned by City of Lincoln Council, is being made over as part of a deal with the charity the Linkage Trust.

The ice rink will be in the park on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December, with all profits going towards the park restoration fund.

  7. British Steel workers seek compensation over health problemspublished at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

People who worked at British Steel between the 1950s and 80s could get compensation for health problems they got from working at its coking plants.

    British Steel workers

The High Court has appointed solicitors to look at the case.

Hundreds of people have been potentially affected by exposure to dust and fumes, including those who worked at the firm's Scunthorpe plant.

British Steel says it knows about the claims but can't comment further:

    Quote Message

We are aware of these claims, which arise from alleged exposure to dust and fumes during the course of employment, mainly between the 1950s and 1980s, at various coke ovens throughout England, Wales and Scotland. As legal proceedings are ongoing, it would be inappropriate for us to comment further at this time."

  10. Leaving EU 'could be good for pig farmers'published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Paul Murphy
    Journalist, BBC Look North

A pig farmer from Scunthorpe believes pork production could improve when the UK leaves the EU in 17 months.

    Pig Farming

More than a quarter of the UK's pork imports come from Denmark and new tariffs could be introduced which will make it more expensive to import food in to the country.

With that in mind, Sally Jackson, from the Pink Pig Farm, says by increasing import tariffs British farmers will see an increase in value:

    Quote Message

With the right negotiating tactics we should be able to get a good deal for British farmers in the EU. They need our exports as much as we need their imports."

    Gemma Dawson
    BBC Look North

I'm in Sleaford today on the trail of a drove of hares (yes that's the right collective noun).

They're made out of mud and have been placed around the town - one of them is pictured below.

They've been made by artists who are trying to raise awareness of the problem of hare coursing in the county.

Mr Lee's been speaking on BBC Radio Lincolnshire and has talked about his work with some famous footballers.

He's treated several big names for muscle injuries which significantly reduced their time for recovery and return to play.

He says he now has high hopes for Grantham Hospital:

    Cliff HouseImage source, Google

A consultation's been running on the future of the Gresham Street surgery in the west end of the city - and the overwhelming response from the public was to keep the site open.

Health managers say they hope to award a new contract to run the site from next April.

    Quote Message

The feedback from our meetings and information submitted through our online survey highlighted that providing services from both Burton Road and Gresham Street surgeries would best support patients to have a continuity of care."

  18. Warning after spate of kitchen firespublished at 10:45 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Lizzie Musham
    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

Firefighters in Lincolnshire say they've been called to six house fires in the last three days - all linked to cooking or cookers being left unattended.

    Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue

It's prompted them to issue a safety warning, with homes in Gainsborough, Boston, Saxilby, Grantham and Langtoft among those affected.

In one of the fires in Gainsborough the owner had cleaned the cooker but left cleaning fluid inside, which caught fire when the oven was switched on.

    Quote Message

As soon as you've finished cooking, make sure you turn off the appliances. Also, make it part of your routine before you go to bed or leave the house to double check all cookers are off. Kitchen fires can be easily prevented with a bit of common sense."

Shona Wright, Community fire safety manager, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue

  19. Campaigners call for public meetings over possible frackingpublished at 10:18 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    David Sykes
    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

Campaigners in Lincolnshire are calling for public meetings with the authorities to discuss concerns about fracking.

    FrackingImage source, PA

Fracking is the process of drilling down into the earth before a high-pressure water mixture is directed at rock to release the gas inside.

Opponents say it can cause water contamination, earthquakes and vehicles going to and from the site could lead to noise and traffic pollution.

The Frack Free Lincolnshire group says it believes a company is preparing to begin the fracking process on two sites near Louth.

But the company, Egdon Resourcing, says has no plans - or the correct licences - and only plans to extract oil using conventional methods.

Lincolnshire County Council, which would issue a licence for fracking to take place, also says none have been granted.

    Quote Message

I feel very sad for the person who's done it, that they feel they have to do that, they obviously are desperate. But I also feel incredibly sad for us - we are collecting for other charities and the Royal British Legion and we know how important that is to them.
