Water and soil samples taken from woodland in Lincolnshire where deadly mustard gas was found last year have come back clear.
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) took more than 200 samples from Roughton Wood, near Woodhall Spa, following the discovery of 150 canisters (above) last October.
A total of 140 were recovered from the woods site, while 10 were found in nearby Stixwould Lake.
Scientists have found no trace of mustard gas or other chemical weapons.
But East Lindsey District Council says there's still work to do on the site before it can be returned to the owners and the area remains cordoned-off.
The authority says a second phase of the wider investigation is now under way, involving the mapping of ordnance which could have been left on land previously used by the MoD.

In a statement, ULHT say mistakes may have occurred but the trust is using this as an opportunity to learn lessons and improve the quality of care for patients.
Lincoln's long-awaited eastern bypass is likely to be delayed, it's emerged.
It's because the construction firm Carillion has gone into liquidation.
The County Council says it's getting legal advice, but the firm will continue with some work.
Lincolnshire's director for highways, Richard Wills, says he's relieved it's happened early on in the construction:
A Vulcan bomber which was once based in Lincolnshire has moved a step closer to getting a permanent home after planning permission was granted for a visitors' centre at Doncaster-Sheffield Airport.
The aircraft - formerly based at RAF Waddington near Lincoln - flew for the final time in 2015 and work has been ongoing to create a new hangar to help turn it into a visitor attraction in South Yorkshire.
It's thought the project will cost more than £2m, but could be completed next year if funding is secured.
