    Plans for a new roundabout on the A46 near Lincoln have been approved.

    It's earmarked for the junction with Lincoln Road, near Dunholme.

    The County Council says it will improve safety and reduce congestion for drivers heading to and from Welton.

    A senior detective has told a misconduct hearing that he didn't believe a Lincolnshire officer had been assaulted.

    PC Anthony Colson had claimed he'd been attacked in a car park in Boston.

    A doctor who examined him said the injuries were self-inflicted.

    PC Coulson denies breaching professional standards.

    The hearing continues.

    The Humber Bridge Board has told the BBC that it's hopeful it will be business as normal for the Humber Bridge Farmers Market.

    It's after traders were sent letters yesterday saying the current team which runs it, A1 Events will stop running the monthly market.

    Tony Barker says they don't want it to end and are looking for a new operator to run it.

    More than 1,400 swimmers in Grantham have helped to raise £30,000 for charity.

    Shipping sand onto beaches and concrete rock groynes are just some of the options being looked at to protect the Lincolnshire coast from future flooding.

    Mark Robinson is from the Environment Agency:

    The Environment Agency is launching a consultation to look at ways of protecting properties and agricultural land at the coast for the next 100 years.

    Public drop in sessions are set to be held later in the month.

    A decision is expected to be made later on plans to increase Lincolnshire Police's council tax precept by 5.8%.

    It would see an average increase of 25 pence a week on council tax from April.

    The council says it's to protect the number of police officers and PCSOs across the county.

  10. Vehicles seized during hare coursing operationpublished at 10:29 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2018

    Two vehicles from people believed to have been involved in hare coursing at the weekend have been seized by police.

    Officers received reports of hare coursing on Saturday in the Ealand area of North Lincolnshire.

    With the help of local farmers, three men from Blackpool, Stoke on Trent and Stourport were interviewed and will be summoned to court on suspicion of wildlife offences.

    Their vehicles, two Honda CVRs, were seized during the operation.

    Hundreds of men, women and children are expected to light up the Humber Bridge with glow sticks later.

    Light up the Night is aimed at showing solidarity with the victims of sexual violence.

    Among those taking part will be a mother whose children were sexually abused.

    She says they're showing their support for the event after The Blue Door charity rescued her family:

  12. Offshore wind base expansion gets under way in Grimsbypublished at 09:24 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2018

    Work is under way on a £10m expansion of an off-shore wind base in Grimsby.

    It will make it the biggest site of its kind in the country, eventually supporting five wind farms off the east coast and is expected to double the number of jobs there to about 300.

    Matthew Wright, managing director of renewables business Orsted, says it's an important project for northern Lincolnshire:

    Politicians in North Lincolnshire are to meet senior staff from Thames Ambulance later.

    The non-emergency transport service has been the subject of complaints over patients missing vital appointments and some being stranded at hospitals for hours.

    North Lincolnshire Council's Health Scrutiny Panel will also meet representatives of the local Clinical Commissioning Group.

    Thames Ambulance says improvements have been made.
