    We're keeping an eye on the skies today amid yellow "be aware" weather warnings of snow across Lincolnshire.

    The white stuff's already on the ground in parts of the county, and you've been sending in your pics to prove it:

  2. Windmill volunteer died after 'severe blow' to headpublished at 11:33 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2018

    A volunteer at the landmark Heckington Windmill died at the weekend after getting his clothes caught in machinery, it's emerged.

    Pete Lett's clothing was caught up in an oil engine used to power a spare set of grinding stones on the ground floor of the mill on Sunday.

    He then received what Charles Pinchbeck, chairman of the Heckington Windmill Trust, describes as a "severe blow to the head".

    The Health and Safety Executive says it's aware of the incident and is "making initial inquiries".

    Mr Pinchbeck says Mr Lett's death is a "tragic accident" and is a "very sad loss":

    There have been 30 road traffic collisions across Lincolnshire since 07:00 this morning.

    Three cars came off the A15 near Folkingham, south of Sleaford.

    Another crashed into the verge in South Kyme on the B1395 Wood Lane.

    Police are urging people to drive to the conditions and leave extra time for journeys.

  7. Man in critical condition after nightclub incidentpublished at 10:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2018

    A 20-year-old man is in a critical condition after an alleged assault outside a nightclub in Spalding.

    Police were called to the incident in a queue for Loaded Nightclub, on Westlode Street in the town.

    It happened at 01:00 on Saturday night into Sunday morning.

    The man was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries.

    Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time.

    A fire has destroyed a building used by a playgroup in North Lincolnshire.

    Emergency crews were called to deal with the fire at Burton Play, in Burton upon Stather in the early hours of yesterday.

    The playgroup is closed today, but the organisers say they are trying to find a temporary venue in the village as soon as possible.

  9. Police call for caution on snowy roadspublished at 09:38 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2018

    Lincolnshire police say they've had numerous reports of accidents on Lincolnshire's roads because of snowy conditions.

    Superintendent Phil Vickers says "drivers aren't driving to the conditions" and that there have been numerous injuries on the county's roads already.

    He tweeted a picture of the Lincolnshire Police's control room showing reports from officers around the county.

    Manchester City's win at Wembley was not the only football cup event taking place over the weekend.

    The 2018 FA People's Cup - the biggest five-a-side tournament in the country - kicked off with more than 50,000 players taking part across 278 venues.

  11. Windmill volunteer dies after 'tragic accident'published at 09:02 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2018

    A man who volunteers at Heckington Windmill has died after what is being described as a tragic accident.

    He's been named on the landmark's Facebook page as volunteer engineer Pete Lett.

    Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire's air ambulance flew to the site yesterday.

    Members of the team there have described it as a "very sad loss" and have given their "heartfelt condolences" to his family.

    Heckington Windmill, which was built in 1830, is the only working eight-sailed tower windmill in the country.

    There's a yellow weather warning of snow in parts of East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire this morning.

    There have already been a few flurries of snow in places and it looks like there is a light covering in Scartho, Grimsby (pictured).

    Temperatures aren't expected to rise above 1C today.

    Today is the first day tens of thousands of people will be able to access out of hours GP services in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

    The new trial means Doctors from various surgeries are to operate out of Louth Hospital's Urgent Care Centre from 18:30 until 20:00.

    Appointments are to be booked through eleven local GP practices:
