    The gathering is at the Lincolnshire Showground.

    One of the main objectives is to try to "future proof" the agricultural industry.

    Organisers say that in future drones could help farmers get a bird's eye view of the crops in the fields.

    Three people have died in a road crash which happened in icy conditions near Market Deeping.

    Police have confirmed that a blue Renault Clio and a white Scania lorry were involved in the crash.

    Police say that "several people have faced the shock of witnessing or coming across the scene".

    It happened at around 06:15 this morning near the Waterside Garden Centre.

    Police are urging people to drive safely on the roads through conditions which have varied throughout the day.

    They're appealing for witnesses who may have seen the vehicles before the collision.

    All non-urgent children's surgery has been cancelled at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston.

    The trust which runs the hospital says they've had to make the decision because they're "seriously" understaffed with doctors or nurses specially trained in childrens' medicine.

    They say that around 15 operations a week will be cancelled.

    Michelle Rhodes, the Director of Nursing for the Trust, says that operations will be rebooked in Lincoln and that nurses in paediatrics are being redeployed to ease pressure in A&E.

    More on the schoolchildren in Lincolnshire, whose bus collided with a car and skidded off the road, near Deeping St James.

    Lincolnshire Police say none of the 45 or so children have been injured, but are "obviously shocked".

    A spokesman said it was one of about 20 collisions in the county this morning caused by the weather.

    Four cars were involved in another crash at Old Leake, near Boston, with two others leaving the road due to "very icy conditions".

    Lincolnshire Police say ice on the roads is causing lorries to slip and get stranded.

    Supt Kieran English said the south of the county, especially around Spalding and Bourne, is the worst affected. One of the major problems is at Willingham Hill near Market Rasen.

    He says officers are expecting another peak at 15:00 GMT and is advising drivers to take care.

    The A15 at Baston will be closed for some time due to a "very serious car crash", Supt English says.

    Drivers are struggling to make it up some of the roads in the Lincolnshire wolds because of compacted snow and ice.

    One driver says he passed nine lorries which had become stuck on Grimblethorpe Hill on the A157 near Louth and described the driving conditions as "absolutely horrendous".

    About 45 schoolchildren have been helped from a bus after it collided with a car and left the road near Deeping St James.

    None of the children have been injured, but police say they're "obviously shocked".

    The school bus left the road on Custom Road between Frognall and Stowgate near Deeping St James.

    The road will be closed to recover the bus.

    It's understood that two more cars have left the road in the icy conditions there.

    Burton Play, in Burton upon Stather, near Scunthorpe, was badly damaged in the fire on Sunday morning.

    A fundraising page has been set up to support the playgroup and organisers say they are working hard to find a temporary base so it can reopen.

    Lincolnshire's gritters have already been out more often than last year after what's been described as a "severe winter".

    The gritters have been out 87 times this winter, 25 times more than last year.

    Lincolnshire County Council's gritting team only budgets for 85 trips a year, but the cost of extra runs is recouped from milder winters.

    Teams have used over 20,000 tonnes of salt, compared to the 13,000 they used last year, but the depots are fully stocked, the council says.

    Daryl Redford, from the gritting team, says it's been a "severe winter" this year contrasted with last year's milder picture:

    The A15 between Baston and Bourne has been closed after an accident earlier this morning.
