    Managers at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust have just announced that all non-urgent operations and outpatients appointments will be cancelled tomorrow because of the bad weather.

    Appointments have already been cancelled today and managers have apologised for any inconvenience.

    It affects appointments at all of the trust's sites including Lincoln County Hospital, Boston's Pilgrim Hospital and Grantham Hospital.

    Here's Wing Commander Jim Errington, who is one of the RAF personnel manning 10 vehicles on call across Lincolnshire.

    They are based at the South Park fire station in the city and the Ministry of Defence says they will remain on duty until the crisis is over.

    Police are telling us there are at least 20 cars and two HGVs stuck on the A46 near Faldingworth, north of Lincoln at the moment.

    It's as travel conditions continue to be difficult across the county, with the A15 still closed between Lincoln and Scunthorpe because of drifting snow.

    The Environment Agency has issued flood alerts for the south bank of the Humber and Bridlington.

    The alert means flooding is possible and people should be prepared.

    The Environment Agency says that a high tide combined with stormy conditions could see some localised flooding on the South Humber Bank, along with over-topping of sea defences in Bridlington.

    There have been eight separate crashes on the A1 in Lincolnshire .

    Superintendent Phil Vickers has just told BBC Radio Lincolnshire that means the road will be impassable in several places between Stamford and Newark.

    The trust which runs hospitals in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole says it is putting in 4x4 transport for its staff today, to try and make sure appointments can go ahead.

    The RAF has been brought in to help bring medical staff into Lincolnshire's hospitals and to transport vulnerable patients.

    Lincolnshire County Council's emergency planning manager Ian Reed says 10 military vehicles are just getting on the road in the county and that RAF personnel have just been briefed by emergency planning officers and will be out on the road shortly.
