    Marc Jones criticised MP Sir Christopher Chope for objecting to the law in the House of Common today.

    The RSPCA have issued a warning after a deer became entangled in some plastic netting in Lincolnshire.

    The charity says they had to rush to the roadside in Swayfield, near Grantham, to help the young buck escape from the net.

    The netting had been left behind from when the land was used to house pens for rearing game birds, the RSPCA said.

    It said the incident highlighted the importance of clearing rubbish away because of the danger it poses to wildlife.

    The government gave its support to a change in the law before it was brought to the Commons.

    Sir Christopher Chope shouted "object" to the bill, leading to cries of "shame" from other MPs.

    Lincolnshire's Police and Crime Commissioner, who supported the campaign against upskirting - -where photos are secretly taken under a skirt - says he's "lost for words" at Sir Christopher's actions.

    A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the investigation into so-called "Punish A Muslim Day" letters.

    David Parnham, 35, is accused of a total of 14 offences spanning two years, including one count of soliciting to murder.

    He is also charged with two counts of sending a number of letters promoting a "Punish A Muslim Day".

    Mr Parnham, of St Andrew's Close in Lincoln, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

    He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on June 29.

    He was arrested on Tuesday by counter-terrorism police as part of an intelligence operation.
