    Police are looking for witnesses to an assault which happened in Grantham in April.

    A 23-year-old man had a tooth knocked out in the incident in the Market Place.

    It happened in the early hours of Saturday 14 April and police have released CCTV footage of the assault which can be seen here, external.

    The family of a missing Lincolnshire man want him to let them know he is safe.

    34-year-old Anthony Warner left his home in Wrangle on Thursday 7 June and hasn't been seen since.

    His family have said this is totally out of character.

    Highways England, external are warning drivers travelling across parts of East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire tomorrow to prepare for strong gales.

    Roads expected to be the worst affected include the A1 and the M62 motorway.

    Wind speeds across the north of England are expected to reach 50 mph and occasionally 60mph, between 06:00 to 13:00 on Thursday.

    Motorists, particularly those driving high-sided HGVS, caravans and motorcycles, are being advised to check the weather and driving conditions before setting out.

    The body of a Lincolnshire woman who was believed to have entered the water at Moulton Marsh Nature Reserve this morning has been found.

    Lincolnshire Police, the fire service, ambulance service and the coastguard searched for several hours before finding the body of the 35-year-old local woman.

    Her next of kin have been informed and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

  7. Explosives team responds to 'isolated incident'published at 15:08 British Summer Time 13 June 2018

    An acid, used primarily as an explosive, has been found at Spalding Grammar school.

    Lincolnshire Police were called to the school yesterday evening when the substance was found in a chemical store.

    The Explosive Ordance Disposal team (EOD) was called out and disposed of the picric acid.

    The force have said it was an isolated incident and "at no time was there a safety issue":

    A light aircraft has crashed on the Lincolnshire coast.

    Police say it landed in a hedge near Skegness Water Park.

    The two people inside are said to managed to get out of the aircraft and neither is thought to be seriously injured.

    A cordon has been set up around the scene.

    The fifth biggest wind farm in the world has opened off the Norfolk and Lincolnshire coast, featuring 91 huge turbines.

    The Race Bank development will be capable of powering more than half-a-million UK homes, according to the Danish energy firm Orsted.

    The turbines are the first to use the massive 75m-long blades made at the Siemens Gamesa blade factory in Hull.

    The wind farm will be maintained and serviced from Grimsby.

    Camilla Carlbom Flinn, from Team Humber Marine Alliance, says the town has already been benefiting from the project for several years:

    Two people have escaped without serious injury from a light aircraft crash in Lincolnshire.

    Emergency crews were called to the landing strip at Skegness Water Leisure Park, between Skegness and Ingoldmells, at about 12:50 after the plane crashed into a hedge.

    Two people who were in the plane have now got out, according to police.

    A cordon has been put up around the scene.

    Water supplies will not return to normal in one area of Lincolnshire until 17:00, it's been confirmed.

    Anglian Water, external has been dealing with a burst water main affecting Fiskerton, Bardney and surrounding areas.

    The work should be completed by 15:00, with water back to normal by 17:00, the company said.

    Lincolnshire Police are searching for a woman after reports she entered the water at Moulton Marsh Nature Reserve in Spalding.

    A police helicopter, drone and the coastguard are searching for the woman, who is believed to be in her 30s.

    A national retail expert says Lincolnshire's smaller market towns are doing better than people think given the recent announcements of store closures nationally.

    Retail expert Claire Bailey, who is from Sleaford, was speaking after House of Fraser announced it is shutting more than half of its stores and Poundworld went into administration.

    She said the high street was adapting rather than dying.

    Chain stores were being replaced by service providers as part of that change, she added.

    Soldiers from Lincolnshire have been sent to Cyprus on a peace-keeping mission for the United Nations.

    Cyprus has been divided since 1974 when Turkey invaded the north in response to a military coup on the island which was backed by the Athens government.

    The island was effectively partitioned, with the northern third inhabited by Turkish Cypriots and the southern two-thirds by Greek Cypriots.

    United Nations troops patrol the "Green Line" dividing the two parts.

    Royal Lancers are now patrolling this "buffer zone" to help stop tensions rising between the two sides.

    Campaigners from a Lincolnshire village say they are "delighted" after they raised sufficient cash to buy the village pub.

    The Leasingham Community Benefit Society, external has raised more than £210,000 since March.

    They've now had their offer for the Duke of Wellington pub accepted by the owners.

    The money was raised by selling £50 shares.

    The groups says once the sale has completed the pub will need a full refurbishment and a new landlord before it reopens.

    Hundreds of children are being killed or seriously injured on Lincolnshire's roads every year as a result of congestion speeding and unsafe walkways, new statistics show.

    The figures, compiled by the Department of Transport, have been revealed as part of a special awareness day.

    The statistics show that 205 children are being killed or seriously injured every year on the roads around Lincolnshire.

    That figure rises to nearly 1,200 when the whole of the East Midlands is taken into account.

    Today, children are due to take part in a series of walks organised by road safety charity Brake, external which will call for better measures such as footpaths and safer crossings to highlight the issue.
