    Kate Sweeting
    Reporter, BBC Look North

I'm at Laughton Woods near Gainsborough this morning, where there was a major fire last night:

    Laughton

The fire service tells me this was a "near miss", and they only just managed to stop the grassland fire from spreading into nearby woods.

The dry grass and peatland here is similar to that found on Saddleworth Moor, which saw seven square miles engulfed by fire.

Relief crews from Saxilby, Wainfleet & Louth fire stations are now en route to relieve crews who've been working through the night.

  16. Wheelchair user is 'wheeled' to the pub for the World Cuppublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 28 June 2018

There's nothing quite like watching an England football game at a pub, but for one Lincolnshire man that isn't always possible.

    Bruce and Hollie

Bruce Ingoldmells, who lives in a care home and has one leg, says the atmosphere at the pub is much better during the game, but it's hard for him to make the half-hour journey on his own.

Care home worker Hollie Harrison has luckily stepped in and has been wheeling heel Bruce to the pub so he can join in the fun

Hollie says Bruce and her "hit it off" quickly, and they've made a firm friendship after their regular trips out.

    Quote Message

I've got a TV in my room, but it's still better at the pub."

The graffiti has been described by residents in the town as "nasty" and "disgusting".

It also refers to the former leader of the English Defence League (EDL), Tommy Robinson, who was jailed after admitting contempt of court for potentially prejudicing a court case.

One resident told BBC Radio Lincolnshire she'd lived in the town all her life and had never seen "anything like" it.

Another resident said: "Horncastle is a lovely town, then you come across all this, it brings the town down doesn't it?"

Police say the graffiti was reported to them this morning and they're treating it as a hate crime.

They've been conducting "house to house" inquiries and say they will be increasing "patrols in the area especially during hours of darkness."

An inquest has heard paramedics called to help a woman, who collapsed at Hull Crown Court, missed signs she could have been saved for 15 minutes.

    Hayley GascoigneImage source, Facebook

Hayley Gascoigne, 32, from Scunthorpe, suffered a cardiac arrest while at a family court hearing in January last year.
