    Boston boxer Callum Johnson says it's "mind blowing" that he's fulfilling his lifelong ambition of fighting for a world title.

    In an interview with BBC Radio Lincolnshire, which will be broadcast in full on Friday, Callum Johnson says he's confident of becoming the new light-heavyweight champion of the world.

    Johnson, who clinched the British Light Heavyweight title in March, will challenge Russian Artur Beterbiev on 6 October in the USA.

    Could we be facing a shortage of beer and lager?

    A nationwide shortage of CO2 is causing problems for brewers in Lincolnshire.

    The gas is used to put the fizz in lagers and beers and to help to keep the amber stuff flowing at the pump.

    Brewsters Brewery in Grantham say it's been difficult to source it for the production of some of their beers.

    But they managed to secure some to keep the brew flowing.

    A councillor in Grimsby is calling for people to start taking ownership of their local parks and get involved in running them,

    Councillor Steve Beasant said the idea was inspired by the improvements the community made to Grant Thorold Park.

    He'll meet with the council next week to discuss how the idea could be rolled out.

    He also believes involving the community and getting them involved would help reduce vandalism.

    A large fire has destroyed a stockpile of about 1,000 mannequins near Sleaford.

    The fire, which happened at the mannequin rental company based in Fulbeck, was tackled by fire crews overnight.

    Huge plumes of black smoke were seen from nearby.

    Don't be alarmed if you see a large number of firefighters at Lincoln's Broadgate car park this evening - they're just training.

    Several fire crews will be practicing how to deal with a multiple car fire similar to one which happened in Liverpool last year (pictured).

    That fire spread to seven floors and destroyed 1,400 vehicles.

    The training is due to happen between 18:00 and 22:00 tonight and the top floors of the car park will be closed to allow the exercise to take place.

    A new windfarm off the Lincolnshire coast will create thousands of new jobs, according to the man in charge of its construction.

    The Triton Knoll project has been in development since 2004 and now work has finally started on onshore cabling in the county.

    Once the project is finished, there could be as many as 288 wind turbines 20 miles off the coast between Mablethorpe and Cleethorpes.

    A murder investigation has been opened after the death of a 46-year-old man who was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Sunday.

    46-year-old Kevin Nix, from Spalding, died after being seriously injured in the collision near Ye Olde Bridge Inn in Crowland.

    Alison Skingsly, 42 of Thames Road in Spalding, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court yesterday charged with wounding with intent.

    Police say a murder investigation has been opened and charges will be reviewed.

    An inquest has begun into the death of a woman who collapsed in a court.

    Hayley Gascoigne, 32, from Scunthorpe, fell ill in the public concourse area of Hull Combined Court in January 2017.

    She was later pronounced dead.

    Following her death, friends of Miss Gascoigne described her as "a lovely, warm kind person".

    In an Instagram post, external, the community run swimming pool is asking its patrons to "Keep it PG".

    Pool spokespeople say they don't want to see thongs or see-through swimwear in the pool.

    Scunthorpe MP Nic Dakin has urged US President Donald Trump to reverse steel tariffs on the UK during a meeting with US embassy staff.

    They expressed their concerns and called for the tariffs to be dropped.

    Mr Dakin said the meeting had been courteous, but he and his colleagues had expressed their views "robustly".

    Grantham and Stamford Conservative MP Nick Boles is urging all government offices to fly the England flag.

    It's thought that Bill Skelly is one of three senior officers who've applied for the second biggest job in UK policing.

    Mr Skelly is the highest ranked officer of the three known contenders.

    The vacancy follows the resignation of Phil Gormley in February amid a series of investigations into claims of gross misconduct.

    Shop-window mannequins have been destroyed in a blaze near Sleaford overnight.

    Plumes of black smoke were seen in Fulbeck as fire crews tackled the blaze.

    It was a "large open fire" at a business which sells and hires out the mannequins, according to Lincolnshire Fire Service.
