    South Holland District Council previously said it would make the change in most car parks in Spalding earlier this month.

    But the authority has now said it will examine the scheme again after motorists reacted angrily to not being able to pay in cash.

    A woman who's originally from Grimsby has been telling us how she feels after winning Masterchef in Canada.

    Nineteen-year-old Beccy Stables impressed the judges on the Canadian show and walked away with $100,000 in prize money - the contest's youngest ever winner.

    She says it's been a "rollercoaster of emotions": "I put the application in not expecting a call back, and then I actually got a call back. It all happened so fast.

    "Then, when it finished filming it was six months of nothing and then it was full speed again when the show aired."

    The investigation into a possible abduction in South Lincolnshire has continued throughout the day, police say.

    Lincolnshire Police say if the sighting of someone being bundled into the boot of a car last week was "hijinks, or people messing about" then it's not a "problem".

    The possible abduction happened at 17:00 on Wednesday near the junction between Winsover Road and West Parade in Spalding (pictured).

    A member of the public claims to have seen two men bundling another into the boot of a blue saloon car.

    Police said despite extensive interviews they are no nearer finding out what happened.

    Three local projects which provide help for people who are suffering a mental health crisis have received government funding.

    The Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded just over £400,000 for its mental health crisis assessment suite at Miranda House in Hull.

    The Safe Space Cafe in Grimsby, which provide out-of-hours support, and the Crisis Cafe in Hull, which provides support and activities, have also received funding.

    Plans for Sports Direct to open its own gym and designer clothing store in Lincoln have been rejected by the city council, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

    The proposals would have seen the sports retailer build the complex next to the Morrisons supermarket site on Tritton Road.

    Over 230 car parking spaces were included in the plan and the 6,716 sq m development would have created around 160 jobs, the company claimed.

    The development would have included the retailer's own Flannels clothing and accessories unit.

    City of Lincoln Council said the proposals would have a negative impact on the city centre and declined to back it.

    The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance was called, along with other emergency services, to Alexandra Dock following the incident just after 10:00 this morning.

    It's not known how the incident happened.

    Dock operator ABP confirmed it is working with emergency services at the scene.

    Police cordons remain in place in Crowland, near Spalding, after a man was hit by a car.

    A man in his 40s is in critical condition after being hit by a Black Peugeot 307.

    A woman, also in her 40s, is being held in custody after being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

    The incident happened at about 20:00 yesterday evening, police have appealed for witnesses.

    The B1166 (Welland Bank) will be closed for the majority of today, officers said.

    Detailed proposals for the Humber ports to apply to become "free ports" after Brexit are to be drawn up by owners ABP.

    The move could mean the ports of Grimsby, Immingham and Hull would all be able to import goods without tariffs.

    The idea is being supported by the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce, the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership, ABP, Humberside Airport and Young's.

    The proposals will be put to the Treasury Minister Liz Truss (pictured right), who was in Immingham last week.

    People with disabilities are now able to go sailing in Lincolnshire thanks to the efforts of a group of fundraisers.

    Nearly £9,000 has been raised to buy the boats (pictured) and facilities to make it easier for people who use wheelchairs to gain access to the water at Hykeham Sailing Club, near Lincoln.

    Several rotary societies from Boston, Skegness and Lincoln have been involved in organising events to benefit the Sailability scheme.

    It was the brainchild of Kevin Roberts, who died recently.

    One of the boats, which was launched recently, was named in honour of his efforts.
