    Humberside Fire and Rescue says a 12-year-old boy has been treated for smoke inhalation in Immingham.

    A shed caught fire at about 20:00 last night.

    The blaze then spread to a neighbouring house on Hadleigh Road.

    The new "Elite Performance Centre" is a 12.3 acre site near RAF Scampton, north of Lincoln.

    Eventually it will include a gym, staff office and the training pitches.

    It's hoped to be ready for the 2018/19 season.

  5. Louth Run for Life raises £10,000published at 11:23 British Summer Time 25 June 2018

    More than £10,000 has been raised for charity at a 5km run in Louth this weekend.

    Organisers say around 1,300 runners took part in the three races (Junior, Women's and Men's races) and thousands came to watch.

    They say they handed over £10,000 to Cancer Research on the day, and expect the final tally to reach over £30,000.

    The annual Race for Life has raised £372,000 for Cancer Research since it began in 2005.

    A woman in her 40s has been arrested for attempted murder after a man was hit by a car near a pub in Crowland last night.

    The pedestrian, who is in his 40s, remains in a very serious condition in hospital, police said.

    It happened at about 20:00 at Common Drove near the Bridge Inn.

    The woman remains in custody.

    Police estimate about 300 motorists have completed a questionnaire relating to a suspected abduction in Spalding.

    Police said a man in his late 20s was seen being put into the boot of the blue car, possibly a BMW, by two other men in Spalding on Wednesday night.

    Detectives say it happened near the junction of Winsover Road and West Parade in Spalding (pictured).

    Lincolnshire Police say despite 300 motorists completing the questionnaire they had no new lines of inquiry.

    They're still appealing for witnesses to the original incident.

    Hollywood comes to Lincoln today as Netflix crews shoot scenes for the film The King at the city's famous cathedral.

    It's going to star Joel Edgerton and Robert Pattinson and is being produced by a company owned by Brad Pitt.

    It's not the first time the county has provided the backdrop for big movies, of course, with Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre both being filmed at Belton House.
