    Tributes continue to be paid to an East Yorkshire biker who died in a crash on the Isle of Man.

    James Cowton, from Driffield, (pictured above) was racing in the Southern 100 when the accident happened.

    Lincolnshire biker Ivan Lintin (pictured below) was also critically injured in the four-rider collision.

    Paul Woodford who's the circuit manager at Cadwell Park near Louth says the racing community is in shock following yesterday's incident.

  4. Water main repaired in Scothernpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 13 July 2018

    Around 500 properties in villages around Lincoln should be getting their water back after repairs to a burst water main this morning.

    The pipe burst in Scothern, cutting off supplies to the properties in Dunholme, Scampton, Wickenby and other areas.

    Anglian Water say that they have now fixed the problem and supplies should be returning to normal.

    You might see these vans rolling around the coast during the summer period.

    As you can see from the logo, it's part of a partnership between Lincolnshire Police and G4S.

    The police put arrested individuals on them and the G4S driver takes them to the police station - freeing up time for the officers.

    The vans are currently in operation in the Spalding and Boston area.

    As we told you earlier the Lincolnshire motorbike racer Ivan Lintin has been critically injured in a crash which killed another rider on the Isle of Man.

    It happened yesterday during the Southern 100 road race.

    His fellow competitor James Cowton, who was 26 and from Driffield, died in the incident.

    Paul Woodford is circuit manager at Cadwell Park, near Louth, which hosts major motorcycle events.

    He says the motor racing community in the county is shocked by yesterday's incident:

    Hull North MP Diana Johnson has suggested in Parliament that the US President Donald Trump should visit Scunthorpe Steelworks and a women's refuge during his UK visit.

    It follows Mr Trump's decision to impose tariffs on British-made steel and concerns over his approach to women and their rights.

    Commons Leader Andrea Leadsom recommended that the Hull North MP should put in a bid for Mr Trump's next visit to the UK.

    Protests are due to take place today by anti-Trump campaigners in London.

    Steelworkers from Scunthorpe are among those travelling to London today to take part in those protests.

    Unions and local MP's met last month with US Embassy staff to express their concerns about tariffs.

    They argue they will have a negative impact on UK steel producers.

    Police have appealed for help to find two attackers who violently assaulted a man in Gainsborough last night.

    Officers say the victim was punched and kicked in the head by two men who jumped out of a white van in the Heapham Road area of the town, close to the Cox's Hill water tower (above).

    It happened at about 20.20 and left the man, who is in his 40s, with serious injuries to his back.

    Lincolnshire motorcyclist Ivan Lintin has sustained critical injuries in a four-rider bike accident at Stadium Bends on the Isle of Man.

    James Cowton, 26, from Driffield in East Yorkshire, (pictured below) was killed in the crash.

    The crash happened during the Southern 100 road races.

    Lintin, a Supertwin specialist, is also a regular on the international road racing scene, and has two Lightweight victories at the Isle of Man TT, as well as two North West 200 and three Ulster Grand Prix wins in the class.
