    NHS bosses paid management consultants more than £400,000 last year to help them with a redesign of the county's health services.

    The so-called Strategic Transformation Plan is being drawn up to save money, but has taken almost five years and won't be published until next spring, according to the Local Democracy Reporter Service.

    The costs of the project last year alone was £1.1m. The team behind the plan says work is 'progressing well'.

    A woman with a pushchair has assaulted a man in his seventies on Lincoln High Street.

    The man was accused by the woman of deliberately bumping into her.

    She then assaulted him, leaving him with a split lip and a black eye.

    The victim's wife was also attacked.

    It happened at 14:00 outside Argos on Saturday 16 June.

    Lincolnshire Police are appealing for more information.

    The Conservative leader of Lincolnshire County Council says he's 'not convinced' the Prime Minister's Brexit plans are what people voted for.

    Pro-Brexit Martin Hill says he's concerned about the proposals in the government White Paper which would keep close ties to the EU.

    He says the government should genuinely deliver the results of the referendum and he's not convinced that is the case.

    The City of Lincoln Council has applied to build a new two-storey ‘community hub space, external’ including meeting rooms and offices on Portland Street.

    The plans to change the use of the now-vacant number 30 from retail are set to go before the authority’s planning committee at 17:30 on Wednesday.

    Documents submitted to the committee show a ‘community hub’, two meeting rooms, an office, two toilets and a kitchen.

    Engineers working on a burst water main in Louth believe it will be fixed by 18:00 today.

    Anglian Water, external have apologised to people experiencing very low water pressure in the town.

    It was originally hoped it would be finished by 14:00, but it is proving to be a more complex job than originally thought.

    Councillors in South Kesteven have been recommended to approve a plan for 25 apartment and townhouses in Bourne, according to the Local Democracy Reporter Service.

    House plans

    The proposals were submitted by Gravitas Housing Ltd for land at Wherry's Lane in the town.

    Under the plans, 20 new apartments and five townhouses would be built on the site.

    While South Kesteven councillors have recommended the development be approved, the application has been met with objection from Bourne Town Council, which said the development would not be in keeping with the local area and there would be limited parking for the site.

    The applicant Gravitas Housing said that the plans would help to revitalise Bourne town centre.

    A man accused of killing an inmate at Lincoln Prison has been remanded in custody after appearing before Lincoln Crown Court today.

    Emmanuel Dos Santos, 42, is charged with the manslaughter of Samuel Harrison.

    Mr Harrison died in September last year following an incident at the prison two weeks earlier.

    Dos Santos will appear before the court again on Friday 10 August.

    Scunthorpe United have confirmed they've submitted plans for their planned new 11,000 capacity stadium at Glanford Park.

    The Club say the existing stadium will be rebuilt stand-by-stand over the next few seasons, in order to allow the side to continue to playing there.

    If given the go ahead, It's hoped work will begin this autumn.

    It's been revealed that health bosses in charge of a shake-up of health services in East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire spent nearly £700,000 on consultancy fees in 2016/17.

    The Humber STP, external is reviewing how Scunthorpe General Hospital and Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby are run.

    They are expected to set out plans for the region in the next few years.

    The plan also includes health services in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

    Health bosses say employing consultants was necessary to fill a staff shortage during the establishment of the partnership.

    Some properties in Louth are experiencing a drop in water pressure after a water main burst.

    The RMT trade union has announced is will suspend its planned strike, in order to allow time for talks to continue with Northern rail.

    The trade union and train operator Arriva Rail North have been in dispute over plans to change the role of train guards.

    Staff had been due to walk out on Saturday 21 July.

    Both sides are considering whether a second safety critical person should be on board all Northern trains.

    Lincolnshire Pollce say they have secured their first successful prosecution using drone technology.

    The owner of a cannabis farm was jailed for three years, after a drone used thermal imaging to identify his house.

    They've been used more than 200 times since the force introduced them last September.
