It comes as other traders in the town, which is known for strong coastal winds, agreed to stop selling the toys in response to people being swept out to sea on them.

  20. Immingham man gets 25 years for brutal attackspublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 1 August 2018

A man has been sentenced to 25 years following an unprovoked, brutal and sustained attack on two women.

    Louis MorganImage source, Facebook

34-year-old Louis Morgan from Immingham was jailed at Sheffield Crown Court today.

He was given two consecutive 10 year sentences, one for each victim, plus a five year extension for dangerousness.

Morgan attacked his then partner delivering brutal blows and kicks to her body and stamping on her head, leaving her motionless and unconscious on her driveway on 12 February.

Part of the attack took place whilst Morgan was holding the victim's four-year-old daughter under his arm.

When a neighbour intervened to challenge him, Morgan turned on the 66-year-old woman.

In a violent rage, he smashed his way into her house, screaming at the top of his voice and stabbing her repeatedly with two knives.

Morgan pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to offences relating to the two incidents.

The Crown Prosecution Service said both were lucky to escape with their lives.

    Quote Message

Morgan's crimes were brutal and violent. The court heard that he is a man who has a history for using intimidation, harassment and violence against his ex-partners. The extended sentence he is beginning today reflects the level of dangerousness he presents to the public."
