    Riseholm College has a new chief executive and principal.

    Bill Meredith has been promoted from his former role as deputy principal of Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire after covering the position in an acting capacity for the last 10 months.

    Riseholme College, near Lincoln, is part of Bishop Burton College.

    Former chief executive and principal Jeanette Dawson OBE resigned last October after "allegations of mismanagement".

    A group of teenagers is taking to the streets in Lincolnshire in a bid to help the county's homeless population.

    The teens, who are volunteering as part of the National Citizenship Programme, external, are asking the public to donate items to help make kits to hand out to people on the streets.

    They're holding a fundraiser, external at Skellingthorpe Community Centre today for the project where they will talking about the issues surrounding homelessness.

    Tomorrow, the young people will be giving out the homeless kits.

    Some rail services between Lincoln and Doncaster were cancelled or disrupted this morning due to signalling problems.

    Bus replacement services were put in place.

    There were also disruptions to services between Lincoln and Newark.

    The UK's first purpose-built marine observatory has opened for the first time this morning.

    The North Sea Observatory, external has exhibitions on the Lincolnshire coast's natural history, as well as panoramic views of the Chapel St Leonards coastline.

    It's hoped the £2m centre will help attract visitors to the coast even when the weather isn't quite as nice.

    Police have appealed for witnesses after two people died in a car crash.

    The crash happened on Sunday afternoon on the A52 near the village of Swaton, and involved a Nissan Note and Ford Ranger.

    A man and woman who were travelling in the Nissan died at the scene.

    Police believe they were both in their 70s.

    Lincolnshire Police urged anyone with information about the crash, which happened at about 15:30, to get in touch.

    Inflatable lilos and rubber rings have come under fire in Skegness because of an increasing number of people being blown out to sea on them.

    The RNLI say call outs involving blow-up crafts have quadrupled compared to this time last year.

    At the end of May this year, the charity had attended 26 incidents involving inflatables, in 2017 that was just 7.

    They say they’re the busiest they’ve been since 2012.

    Sue Binch, a former mayor of Skegness, wants supermarket chain Aldi to stop selling them in the town, because traders on the seafront had made a "gentleman's agreement" reducing the number being sold to visitors.

    Aldi haven’t responded to our request for comment.

    People living on a Grimsby estate claim they've "won their streets" back from drug dealers and gangs that plagued their area with anti-social behaviour.

    A year ago the area was notorious for anti-social behaviour and crime.

    But now, residents say its a great place to live and they feel like they have taken back control.

    Humberside Police say they've been doing a lot of work in the area over the last 12 months.
